In a resounding testament to dedication and passion, six esteemed faculty members from the College of Business and Management—Assistant Professor IV Alex T. Ajoc, Dr. Danalyn J. Dones-Martinez, Dr. Tessil Joy L. Loren-Sotoniel, Dr. Ana Novelle Y. Sanchez-Bolo, Associate Professor I Vilma G. Pandi and Sir Edrick Ray S. 𝗡𝗘𝗠𝗦𝗨 – 𝗟𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗼’𝘀 𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀. | Davao City, Philippines – The University of Mindanao successfully held its 3rd Research Conference on Economy and Enterprise Studies on October 22-23, 2024. The event gathered academics, industry professionals, and students to present and discuss research addressing key issues in business, economics, and workforce performance. The conference highlighted the importance of innovative research in shaping the future of enterprises and enhancing employee performance.

The North Eastern Mindanao State University – Lianga Campus is delighted to present its milestones in research. A team of esteemed faculty from the College of Business and Management attended the event. One of the key presentations was delivered by Dr. Ana Novelle Y. Sanchez-Bolo, who explored “The Effects of Social Media Usage on Employee Performance”. Her research provided valuable insights into how social media engagement can influence productivity, both positively and negatively, in professional settings. Dr. Tessil Joy L. Loren-Sotoniel also presented her work on “The Job Readiness of Business and Financial Management Graduates”, offering an assessment of how these graduates' skills align with workplace expectations.

Dr. Danalyn J. Dones-Martinez examined a significant workplace issue with her study entitled “Assessing the Relationship between Workplace Conflict and Employee Silence”. Her research shed light on how unresolved conflicts could lead to disengagement and communication gaps within organizations.

Another highlight was the presentation of Sir Sandy Christopher M. Jabagat, who discussed “Entrepreneurial Competencies and Business Economic Performance of MSME Entrepreneurs”. His findings emphasized the role of entrepreneurial skills in driving the success of MSME’s.

The event reached its peak with the announcement of Dr. Ana Novelle Y. Sanchez-Bolo as the Best Paper Presenter for the faculty and professional category. Her exceptional work and engaging presentation captured the attention of attendees and judges alike, earning her this distinguished recognition.

The 3rd University of Mindanao Research Conference on Economy and Enterprise Studies served as a platform for meaningful dialogue and collaboration, reinforcing the university’s commitment to research excellence. Participants left the event inspired and equipped with new ideas to address pressing economic and workforce challenges in today’s dynamic business environment.
