π LOOK: SCPS DTAG Takes the International Stage!
International delegates gathered in Iloilo City for the NBCAP Learning Exchange Visit held from February 24β27, 2026.
The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), together with Zoological Society of London (ZSL) Philippinesβserving as the Secretariat of the National Blue Carbon Action Partnership (NBCAP)βand in collaboration with the World Economic Forum, hosted this meaningful exchange.
The initiative forms part of the Departmentβs ongoing mission to craft a national roadmap for blue carbon management, gathering experts and dignitaries from Indonesia, Vietnam, and the United Kingdom. Anchored on the belief that shared regional experiences accelerate policy innovation and strengthen community-based conservation, the event fostered dialogue, collaboration, and global solidarity.
As part of the official Welcome Dinner, SCPS Dance, Theater, and Arts Guild (DTAG) was honored to perform in a cultural showcase that celebrated the richness of Ilonggo heritage. Delegates were treated to a sensory feast of local artistry, including a powerful performance by Tribu Salognon, the Champion of the Dinagyang Festival 2026, whose rhythms embodied the vibrant spirit of Iloilo.
DTAG, on the other hand, captivated the international audience with a series of cultural dances that highlighted the grace, storytelling, and living traditions of the region. Through movement and music, they brought the soul of Ilonggo culture to a global stageβproving that the arts transcend borders and unite communities.
Indeed, it was a memorable evening of culture, collaboration, and celebrationβan international milestone for SCPS DTAG and a proud moment for Iloilo. β¨
