Behind every lesson plan successfully delivered is a teacher who stayed up past midnight preparing it. Behind every patient smile in the classroom is an educator carrying their own silent tired moments, pouring from a cup they rarely take the time to refill.

You trade your own rest to print learning materials. You spend your own money to make sure no student gets left behind. You sacrifice precious weekends to grade papers, master new methodologies, and craft brighter futures for children who aren't even your own. You carry the weight of being a second parent, a counselor, a protector, and a lifelong mentor.

This National Teachers' Month, the College of Teacher Education at Lemery Colleges, Inc. turns the spotlight back to the real heroes in the classroom: YOU.

You spend the entire year giving your time, energy, and heart to your students. Today, we ask you to put yourself first. Allow yourself to receive the appreciation, rest, honor, and love you so richly deserve.

To our incredible CTE faculty, mentors, and aspiring future educatorsโ€”thank you for your tireless dedication, endless sacrifices, and unwavering passion. You don't just teach lessons; you build the world. ๐ŸŒŸ

Not all heroes wear capesโ€”some carry lesson plans, boundless patience, and hearts full of passion!

On August 11, 2026, the College of Teacher Education (CTE) warmly welcomed its newest batch of future educators through a meaningful and exciting Freshmen Orientation. The event marked the beginning of a new academic journey filled with opportunities to learn, grow, connect, and discover the path toward becoming future professionals in the field of education.

Adding to the celebration, the orientation was held alongside the freshmen orientations of the College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE) and the School of Technical-Vocational Education (STVE). Together, the three departments created a welcoming atmosphere that brought students from different fields together as they took their first steps into college life. It was a moment to discover the people, values, opportunities, and experiences that will shape their journey as future educators. From meeting fellow students and faculty members to learning more about their chosen field, every moment became part of the first chapter of their college story.

As they begin this new journey, may our freshmen carry with them the courage to learn, the passion to serve, and the determination to make a difference.

Welcome to the College of Teacher Education, future educators! May your journey be filled with purpose, growth, and countless opportunities to inspire.
