September reminds us that su***de prevention is not only about one month of awareness, it is about choosing compassion every day. Behind every smile, laugh, and “I’m okay” may be a person carrying struggles that we cannot see. Sometimes, people do not need perfect advice or immediate solutions; they simply need someone willing to listen, understand, and stay beside them without judgment.

Let us learn to notice the quiet signs, check on our friends and loved ones, and create spaces where everyone feels safe enough to speak about what they are going through. A simple message, a sincere conversation, or even letting someone know that you care can make a meaningful difference.

We may never know how much our kindness can mean to someone. So, let us be more patient with one another, choose our words carefully, and never underestimate the power of being there. As we observe Su***de Prevention Month, may we continue spreading hope, encouraging people to seek support, and reminding one another that difficult moments do not define an entire life.

You are seen. You are valued. You deserve to be heard and supported. Let’s choose kindness, listen with compassion, reach out, and remind each other that no one should have to carry their struggles alone.

Proverbs 1:7
"The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction."

The beginning of knowledge is found in trusting God and being willing to learn from the people and experiences He places in our lives, whether from our friends, leaders, family, or even from the challenges we face.

Fear may lead us to different paths, but it does not have to hold us back. As Girl Scouts, we become stronger when we choose God’s guidance over our doubts and fears. Every experience, whether joyful or difficult, can teach us something.

Fear is not the end of our journey. Sometimes, it is where new lessons begin. We should acknowledge our fears, learn from them, and trust that God will guide us through every step. With faith and willingness to learn, we can continue becoming better versions of ourselves and inspire others along the way. 💛
