Aquinas University of Legazpi is the first Catholic University in the Bicol region. Founded as Legazpi Junior Colleges in 1948, it was elevated to the status of a university in 1968. Its main campus, about two kilometers from downtown Legazpi City, is one of the most scenic in the country. For more then 60 years, the University has formed the youth in Bicol and beyond to become political leaders, artists, educators, entrepreneurs, professionals and productive citizens.
