Beyond the familiar shores lies a greater voyage. 𝙄𝙏𝙃𝘼𝘾𝘼 calls—an open trial to scout those who will sail ⛵️as our representatives to the 𝙍𝙖𝙪𝙡 𝙍𝙤𝙘𝙤 𝘾𝙪𝙥 𝘿𝙚𝙗𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣🏆, hosted by Ateneo de Naga University🏛️ on Jan. 8-11, 2026.

This is Phase I: a trial of reason, risk, and resolve.

Those chosen will earn a slot in the Raul Roco Cup🏆, membership in the I-SAAd Debate Society 🌿, and receive intensive training from our own debaters🗣️.

Not a seasoned debater? Fear not. Not all who sail are veterans—but all who dare are welcome. 🗣️✨

𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝘄𝗯𝗼𝘆𝘀 𝗮𝘁? 🤠

The i-SAAd Debate Society would like to commend and congratulate our contingent for the recently concluded Raul Roco Cup XVII: Debate Odyssey held last April 25-28, 2025 at Ateneo de Naga University.

🪁 SAAD 1's Raph Palencia & Abby Navarra returned to form as they mirrored their PSDC 2024 performance and made it to the outrounds as the 12th HS Breaking Team. Furthermore, they managed to reach the Semifinals in what was their final dance as partners 🌹

🖋 SAAD 6's Kira Poblete & Justin Albert Amante broke all expectations as they reached the outrounds as the 11th HS Breaking Team 🌟

4️⃣ SAAD teams were a point away from breaking. These were 🐧 SAAD 2 (Isaac Merioles & Sade Calleja), 👆 SAAD 3 (Rania Valdez & Yohanne Ramirez), 🛢SAAD 4 (Pia Alejo & Justin Tru Dela Peña), and 😲 SAAD 7 (Franco Guimba & Althea Askin) who all ended their RC 17 journey with 9 points 👏

🧒 SAAD 5's Justin Calleja & Earl Azotea blitzed their way through the competition as they ended with lucky number 7️⃣ points

Whether you've been a seasoned debater or a new debaby, you made us proud this RC 🫶. Truly, your efforts as debaters have paid off ✨️

We can truly say that i-SAAd's future is in good hands, hear, hear! 💖

CONGRATULATIONS COMPLETERS!✨️

The i-SAAd Debate Society 📢 commends their Grade 10 members who have successfully completed junior high school during the 9th Completion Exercises held yesterday, May 31, 2024, at the SAA Centennial Gymnasium.

As you enter your senior high school life, always remember to instill the values of righteousness and morality as you use your voices not just for debating, but to also be beacons of change in our status quo. 👥

One year ago, on April 29-30, 2023, St. Agnes Academy, Inc. ventured into the debating world when they entered the first phase of the Philippine Schools Debate Championship 2023 held via Zoom and Discord.

Originally composed of the teams SAA-1 🗣 (Kate Dela Peña & Raph Palencia) and SAA-2 ✨️ (Abby Navarra & Gianela Zapata), this rendition of PSDC was not just a stepping stone for the school, but also left a significant idea to its members. Falling in love with the art, SAA-2 pitched in the idea of creating a debate society in St. Agnes Academy. Headed by the efforts of Ms. Kris Alcantara and the remaining original members, their idea became a reality, and the i-SAAd Debate Society became more than just an idea this school year 💙.

In the status quo, we continue to be beacons of change 💡not just for the sake of debating but for the sake of making a difference as well. Today, we remember the day when these proud speakers first debated within these halls 🏛.

We can’t wait to see you all for Day 1! Here are a few reminders to ensure that everything goes smoothly:

1. For Stay-In participants: please proceed to Studio89 for check-in at 10 am! More detailed reminders have been sent to the emails of your respective institutional representatives. 💌
2. Convening for tomorrow will be at Leong Hall, near Gate 3. Please be guided by the official schedule that the registration booth will be open at 11 am for all participants. Please be sure to also settle any remaining outstanding balances at this time! 🕰
3. There will be runners on all days to assist participants. Please do not hesitate to ask any member of the organizing committee, volunteer committee, or ADS if there is any confusion concerning the venues! 🔄
