The DWCL-SHS Scientia Club held its first workshop activity to showcase their talent and skills in experimentation. Vice President, Gabryll Mallapre and its members Marietoni Abante, Mikee Baldon, and Joshua Prado facilitated their experiment entitled "The Lava Lamp".

This was held last April 11, 2024 at Grade 12 - Fr. Henry Buerschen, SVD room.

The DWCL-SHS Scientia Club with its officers and members Patrick Lawrence Abogado from section Fr. George Heinemann, SVD, Jasper Relova from section Fr. Miguel Hergesheimer, SVD, Guia Valenzuela and Erich Paula Arevalo from section Bp. William Finneman, SVD, Lucas C. Mendoza from section Fr. Ludwig Beckert, SVD and. Ms. Maria Sophia Gomez, SCIENTIA Club Adviser participated the second-day of the Skills Development Program at Brgy. Inang, Pilar, Sorsogon last March 15, 2024, Friday with the grade 4 pupils.

Patrick Lawrence Abogado, Guia Valenzuela and Erich Paula Arevalo organized a challenging but fun-filled science related games about Human Anatomy to the grade 4 pupils. After that, Jasper Relova taught the pupils how to manage a microscope.

The Community Extension Service and Social Concerns Office in collaboration with the moderators and selected members of the SciMaTech Club, UNESCO Club DWCL-SHS Chapter, The Hues, The Investors Club, SamaFil Club, Sports Club, The Debate Society, Performing Arts Society, Club, Divine Dance Crew, Scientia Club, Divine Arts Club, Junior Campus Ministry Organization, Senior High Executive Board, and Divine Pixels Club facilitated the said community extension service activity.

Planet vs The Impacts of Global Warming🌏

In celebration of Earth Day, we must not forget of how global warming affects our environment and even our lives. Activists and scientists suggest that our world temperature must be in 1.5°C or lower🌡 But because of man-made activities, our world temperature increases that can cause sea level rising and high temperature in some parts of the world. But what is Global Warming?🤔 GLOBAL WARMING is a long term heating of Earth's atmosphere due to CO2 emission, fossil fuels, and man-made activities like cutting of trees and other types of pollution that will increase the heating of atmosphere that will cause greenhouse effect and rising of sea levels.

But how we can solve this?🤔

We can stop or solve this by conserving energy and water, tree planting, by switching appliances that conserve energy, and by using bicycle or just walking as a mode of transportation.

Did you know that by switching off lights can have greater contribution to lessen the CO2 emission?😮 Yes, a simple participation in Earth Hour is a great contribution to protect our environment.

Remember, we have time to speak up and raise our awareness against global warming and climate change. We must do it now or else its irreversible effects might affect our lives and even our environment in the near future🍃

It is celebrated on April 22nd each year to mark the anniversary of the modern environmental movement. It encourages individuals, communities, and governments to take action to preserve, to protect the Earth's natural resources and to safeguard our planet and fight for a brighter future.
