The 𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗪 𝗠𝗢𝗗𝗘𝗟 is the blueprint and framework of care,and commitment. It plants the seeds of accountability, nurtures a culture of listening, and builds a safe space where every student’s voice matters. This will serve as the foundation and guide of Student’s rights and welfare committee of each college in Bicol University, a start of a more engaging and proactive system that listens and care, giving more meaning and purpose to the Student’s rights and welfare mechanism to all colleges.

More than policies and processes, this will serve as living foundation that empowers STRAW Committees to act with compassion, clear path, and respond with purpose that is duplicable and responsive. From concerns to solutions, from feedback to reform, this framework transforms intention into impact—ensuring that no student stands unheard, or unseen.

Introducing "𝗦𝗮 𝐋𝐢𝐤𝐨𝐝 𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐚" a survey that seeks to gather a consolidated and data-driven assessment of the organizational and operational conditions of student publications across the university. Specifically, it aims to identify common challenges encountered in areas such as funding, manpower, training, and administration, as well as to collect recommendations. The results of this survey will serve as a basis for policy recommendations, legislative initiatives, and institutional support mechanisms intended to strengthen student publications in Bicol University.

On January 25, 2026 the Chairperson and Student Regent called for a coordination meeting with the ConCon Officers, Chief Legislative Officer, STRAW Committee Head, and former ConCon President. Their discussion centered on presenting clear timelines, assessing statutory gaps, and ensuring a productive revamp that would address governance concerns.

This is to properly recalibrate all concerned officers in achieving collective progress. This meeting goes beyond being a reminder of responsibility, it marks an important aspect of careful planning and well-rounded decision making. Through this effort, the goal is to involve, empower, and ultimately uplift the entire Bicol University student community. The goal is to have a new BU-USC Constitution and By Laws draft, duly voted upon by the GLC, presented to the entire student body in April and have it voted by the start of May.

Introducing the 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐞 (𝐒𝐐𝐑𝐂) ang 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭-𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐲 𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐥 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲. Established under 𝐆𝐋𝐂 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐍𝐨. 𝟎𝟏𝟎, 𝐬. 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒, the SQRC was built to unite all College Student Councils against the risks in our region. Mula preparedness hanggang recovery, we ensure na walang BUeño ang naiiwan pagdating sa kaligtasan.

Kasama ng SQRC sa frontline ay ang Student Command Center (SCC), ang ating official communication hub. Sila ang “boses” at “mata” natin sa bawat emergency:

✅ 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 – Monitoring ng student boarders at realtime na safety assurance.
