📌ANNOUNCEMENT! HEADS UP!!

Due to the limited number of participants, the following activities will no longer be conducted during the UN Week (Post-celebration) that will commence on November 7, 2022:
1. Extemporaneous Speech Competition
2. Declamation Competition
3. UN-Edited: Photography Contest
4. T-shirt Painting Contest

This serves as an official notice of cancellation of aforementioned activities.

Mobile uploads 02/11/2022

1. The search is open to ALL DNHS students.
2. Interested students shall pre-register to their respective AP teachers starting on October 24 until November 4, 2022 to enlist.
3. Four pairs (4) per year level will be selected through screening of candidates.
4. Screening will be conducted on November 2 (JHS) and November 4 (SHS).
5. All candidates shall choose the country they will represent right after the screening.
6. They shall have their photo shoot wearing casual attire on November 8, 2022 (Tuesday), time and venue will be announced through candidate’s official communication platform.
7. The candidate shall be in full costume of the nation he/she is representing
8. Must be holding a flag of the country he/she represents, wearing sash with the name of the country being represented and having a number pinned on the candidate’s sash.
9. The candidate must prepare 1 – 2 minutes talent presentation aligned with the country he/she represents.
10. The decision of the board of judges is final and irrevocable.

Criteria for Judging:
1. Adherence to country being represented
(Is the participant wearing the appropriate costume of the country he/she is representing? Are all parts/items of the costume relevant and coherent?) 30%
2. Creativity
(Mix and match of apparel and accessories which still adhere to the country being represented) 30%
3. Effort
(Intricacy of design; more accessories, more props, etc. – which augment the aesthetic aspect of the costume) 20%
4. Talent and candidates overall Appeal 20%
TOTAL 100%

Awards:
MR. & MS. UN – Plaque of Recognition, Sash & Bouquet, and Cash Prize (Php. 2, 000.00 Each)
1st Runner up – Certificate of Recognition, Sash & Bouquet, and Cash prize (Php. 800.00)
2nd Runner up – Certificate of Recognition, Sash & Bouquet, and Cash prize (Php. 500.00)
MR. & MS. Photogenic – Certificate of Recognition, Sash & Bouquet (Php. 200.00)

Happy ! (Post-Celebration)

In accordance with Proclamation No. 483, s. 2003 declaring the period from October 18 to 24, 2003 and every year thereafter as “United Nations Week” o “Pagdiriwang ng Pandaigdigang Samahan ng Nagkakaisang mga Bansa” Daraga National High School through Araling Panlipunan Club will be hosting simultaneous and highly relevant activities to honor our invaluable partnership, to celebrate unity and promote peace and harmony.

In line with this year’s powerful advocacy theme “End racism, build peace”, the series of activities will underscore an environment that is free of racism and racial discrimination.

The week-long Post celebration will commence on November 7 and conclude on November 11, 2022 with the following set of activities:
1. Flag-making
2. On-the-spot Slogan & Poster Making Contest
3. Essay Writing Contest
4. Film Showing
5. Quiz Bowl
6. T-Shirt Painting Contest
7. UN-Edited: Photography Contest
8. Declamation Competition
9. Extemporaneous Speech Competition
10. Search for MR. & MS. UN 2022 - International Costume Competition
