In observance of Simeon Ola Day, Malacañang Palace, under Proclamation No. 11136, has declared September 2, 2026, Wednesday, a 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗡𝗼𝗻-𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 in the entire province of Albay to commemorate the birth anniversary of General Simeon A. Ola. Thus, there will be 𝗡𝗢 𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗦 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗟𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗟𝗦 & 𝗢𝗙𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗘 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗦𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦 on the aforementioned date.

Together, let us continue honoring the life, service and bravery of Gen. Simeon Ola - the last high ranking Filipino general who surrendered to the American forces during the Philippine-American War.📜💪

Today, August 21, 2026, we celebrate Ninoy Aquino Day — a special non-working holiday commemorating the life of our former Senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr. A life full of patriotism that inspires us to fight for freedom and democracy.

May this holiday not just be a simple ‘holiday’ to us, instead, be an honor for courage and bravery that exists inside the heart of every Filipino. Let us be reminded, just like Ninoy, to love our own motherland even when it seems hard.💛💪
