With the inspiring words of 𝐒𝐆𝐎𝐃 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐟 𝐄𝐝𝐰𝐢𝐧 𝐋. 𝐌𝐢𝐚𝐬, “Tayo yung pag-asa ng mga pag-asa ng bayan,” this initiative strengthens our commitment to creating safe, equitable, and empowering spaces for every learner and every educator.

Through collaboration, reflection, and action, SDO Albay continues to champion Gender and Development—ensuring that no one is left behind.

Dalawang Batang Manunulat ng Albay Division, Wagi sa NSPC 2026

Hindi nagpahuli ang dalawang batang manunulat ng Albay Division mula Polangui, Albay matapos mag-uwi ng karangalan sa ginanap na National Schools Press Conference (NSPC) 2026 sa Ormoc City, Leyte.

Nakamit ni Angel Pearl V. Goronal, Grade 6 pupil ng Kinuartelan Integrated School sa Polangui North District, ang ikatlong puwesto sa Pagsulat ng Kolum. Bunga ito ng kanyang dedikasyon at masusing pagsasanay sa ilalim ng kanyang coach na si Bernadeth A. Nobora.

Ibinahagi ni Nobora ang kanilang pinagdaanan sa paghahanda:

“Very simple ang way of living ni Angel. She’s very silent, hindi pala-salita. Sa pagsusulat niya talaga ibinubuhos ang kanyang ideya. Nagsimula kami sa wala; first time ko rin bilang coach. Kapag training, talagang umaabot hanggang gabi—one-on-one. Kapag may kailangang ayusin sa gawa niya, inuulit niya agad at sinusunod lahat ng corrections at recommendations.”

Samantala, nasungkit naman ni Luke Adriel B. Cornelio, Grade 6 pupil ng Polangui South Central School sa Polangui South District, ang ikaapat na puwesto sa Editorial Cartooning (Elementary Level). Ipinahayag ng kanyang coach na si Marion Encisa ang labis na tuwa sa tagumpay ng kanyang estudyante. Si Encisa ay isang beteranong coach na limang beses nang nakarating sa NSPC.

“Hardworking na bata si Luke. He is determined at may passion talaga sa cartooning,” ani Encisa.

Naging bahagi rin ng tagumpay ng delegasyon ng Albay si Ginoong Allan M. Loterte, Division Education Program Supervisor sa Filipino, bilang kinatawan ng dibisyon, sa pangunguna ni Schools Division Superintendent Nene Rosal-Merioles.

Ang naturang kompetisyon ay patunay ng patuloy na pagpupunyagi ng Albay Division sa larangan ng pamamahayag at ng kanilang dedikasyon na hubugin ang kakayahan at talino ng mga batang mamamahayag sa bansa.

In observance of the 2026 National Solo Parents Week and National Solo Parents Day with the theme "Hindi ka Nag-iisa sa Iyong Pag-iisa: Yakap at Kalinga para sa Solo Parent," the Department of Education (DepEd) adheres to national laws on families, uplifts the status of solo parent employees, and ensures that their human rights are fully respected in the workplace.

The webinar aims to orient personnel on the primary rights and duties of solo parents in rearing their children and the Department's commitment to providing necessary support and social services.
