"🧼✨Today, October 15, is Global Handwashing Day, a global advocacy day dedicated to increasing awareness and understanding about the importance of handwashing with soap as an effective and affordable way to prevent diseases and save lives. The theme for this year is "The Power of Soap and Water to Save Lives" or "Be a Handwashing Hero," emphasizing individual action in championing clean hands for all ¹ ² ³.

# # Importance of Handwashing
Handwashing with soap is one of the most effective ways to prevent the spread of infectious diseases, including respiratory infections and diarrheal diseases. Regular handwashing at key times, such as after using the restroom, before preparing food, or after caring for someone who is ill, can significantly reduce the transmission of diseases ⁴.

# # Ways to Celebrate Global Handwashing Day
1. *Practice Proper Handwashing*: Demonstrate and practice the correct handwashing technique with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
2. *Educate Others*: Share information about the importance of handwashing with friends, family, and community members.
3. *Host Handwashing Events*: Organize handwashing workshops, demonstrations, or awareness campaigns in schools, workplaces, or communities.

Ang Adalla Elementary School ay nakiisa sa Ngayong Buwan ng Wika 2025, ating ipinagdiriwang ang yaman ng ating lahi — ang wikang Filipino. Sa temang “Wikang Filipino: Wika ng Kapayapaan, Kaunlaran, at Pagkakaisa,” muling pinapaalala sa atin na ang wika ay hindi lamang kasangkapan sa pakikipag-usap, kundi ito rin ay tulay ng kultura, pagkakaintindihan, at pagkakabuklod-buklod ng sambayanang Pilipino.

Sa gitna ng makabagong panahon, teknolohiya, at globalisasyon, nawa’y huwag nating kalimutan ang halaga ng ating sariling wika. Ito ang ating pagkakakilanlan, ugat ng ating kasaysayan, at ilaw sa ating kinabukasan.

Magsalita tayo nang may dangal. Magsulat tayo nang may puso. Gamitin natin ang Filipino hindi lamang tuwing Agosto, kundi sa bawat araw — bilang pagkilala at pagmamahal sa ating bayan.

Mabuhay ang Wikang Filipino! Mabuhay ang bayang Pilipinas.
