Calamansi is strongly associated with the Philippines and is widely grown and used in Filipino cuisine. Outside the Philippines, it is often known as *βPhilippine limeβ* or calamondin. Its distinct sweet-sour flavor makes it a favorite for sawsawan, juices, marinades, and many Filipino dishes.
π *TRIVIA #2: One Tree, Many Fruits!*
A healthy calamansi tree can produce *thousands of fruits in a year* under favorable growing conditions. Imagine the harvest that 50 trees can provide! π³πππ
π *TRIVIA #3: More Than Just the Juice!*
Calamansi peels contain aromatic oils and compounds that have been studied for their potential insect-repellent properties. Even the peel that we usually throw away can have useful applications! β»οΈπΏ
