Ribbon Cutting and Lighting of RD-ELC Galad Hub

RD-ELC GALAD (Gearing up for Appropriate Learners' Attitude towards Development) Hub is an initiative of Calapangan Elementary School designed to cultivate morally grounded, development-oriented learners through the power of purposeful reading.

The hub serves as a dual-purpose platform: a moral compass and a literacy accelerator.

The integration of literacy and values education ensures that learners are not only able to read-but to read with purpose, empathy, and insight. RD-ELC GALAD Hub becomes a sanctuary for both skill-building and soul-shaping, empowering students to become articulate, ethical, and development-oriented individuals.

We are grateful to have with us our very own Municipal Vice Mayor, Hon. Dannah T. Agatep together with our Public Schools District Supervisor, Maam Merly Tolentino for the ribbon cutting ceremony. Also gracing the occasion is our SB Members of Lasam Hon. Lilibeth Del Rosario, Hon. Renato Paat, Hon. Wilson Constantino, Hon. Emmanuel Agatep and the active school heads and ESP Coordinators of secondary schools of Lasam.

Our school is very blessed to have received support from Hon. Vice Mayor Dannah T. Agatep by giving a cash donation worth P10,000.00 for the learners of Calapangan ES and the project RD-ELC Galad Hub.

Thank you and more power to you Vice Mayor!

Calapangan Elementary School successfully conducts Nutrition Month Celebration,
Newly elected officers in various organizations inducted into office
The faculty, parents, and other stakeholders of Calapangan Elementary School were united for the month of July's important occasion bearing the theme "Sa PPAN: Sama-sama sa Nutrisyong Sapat para sa lahat" which highlighted the skills and talents of both learners and parents in different contested activities.
It was originally scheduled on July 31, 2025 but then moved to August 1 due inavailability of the school head. Nonetheless, the event was pushed through and everybody kept the excitement of the most awaited occasion which didn't happen in schools for several years.
The said occasion was graced by special guests and distinguished judges. Here with them today were the panel of judges Hon. Brgy. Captain Armando B. De Jesus, Hon. SB Member Felix B. Gerardo Jr., Hon. SB Member Reynaldo Viernes, Hon. SB Member Joann Kasten Asuten and Municipal Health Officer Dra. Lorelie Rimando who served as the chairman of the board of judges.
Each of them gave their heartwarming and inspiring messages to the crowd. On top of that, they were thoughtful enough to give prices to all the contestants. This gave smiles to the audience and multiple words of thanks were said by the learners with a gesture of "Magalang bow".
Dra. Rimando emphasized the importance of health especially to the young learners and encouraged the community to promote gardening at home and help end malnutrition.
The celebration began with a short program early in the morning then proceeded with the various exciting competitions afterwards.
Mr. Johnny Alcaide and Mrs. Gina Guillermo, SPTA officers kept a good atmosphere and set the mood as the masters of ceremony.

Each class was represented by two pairs of parents and each pair was tasked to prepare a single dish. The judges didn't get it wrong for picking the table with the best taste & flavor of Malunggay dish. On behalf of Calapangan Elementary School, we would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all who supported us in the successful implementation of Brigada Eskwela 2025.

From the active Brgy. Chairmen and officials of Calapangan Sur and Calapangan Norte, SK Chairmen and SK officials, thought donors, teacher applicants, parents and other stakeholders, your effort has made our school to Top 3 Best Implementing Schools (Small School Category) of Lasam East District.

We hope that we continue this unity of our school community for the next years to come. The real success of Brigada is not just on the number of points given to the school during the evaluations but on real life impact especially to our young learners of Calapangan ES. It is our great pleasure to give you our best in public service.
Thank you & God bless us all.
