WANDS UP FOR OUR MATH WIZARDS!

Yesterday, March 3, 2026, our brilliant spell-casters from Gabun Elementary School sprinkled logic, sprinkled formulas, and cast powerful problem-solving charms at the Municipal Math Bowl held at Nabanagan West Elementary School.

And guess what? The magic was REAL. A thunderous congratulations to our very own math wizards:

Prince Liam Kaye T. Vega and Carl Gabriel G. Sian - 🥈 2nd Place, Key Stage 1 (Municipal Level)
Also a proud achievers at the District Level!

From addition to division, they didn’t just solve problems, they vanquished them!

👏 Huge applause as well to our brave challengers who stepped into the arena and gave their BEST spellwork:

121 Gabun Learners Receive ‘PagbaBAGo’ Bags from OVP

GABUN, LASAM, CAGAYAN — A total of 121 learners from Kindergarten to Grade 6 of Gabun Elementary School received complete school supply packages through the ‘PagbaBAGo’ initiative of the Office of the Vice President of the Philippines led by Sara Z. Duterte.

The PagbaBAGo program aims to strengthen support for basic education by providing identified learners with essential school materials and dental kits, reinforcing the importance of both learning and personal hygiene.

Each bag contained two notebooks, two ball pens, three pencils, one box of crayons, one sharpener, one eraser, one ruler, one plastic envelope, one raincoat, one bag tag, one resealable plastic, and a dental kit consisting of one toothbrush and one pack of toothpaste.

The distribution activity was personally graced and led by the Municipal Mayor, Honorable Dante Dexter Agatep, together with the staff of the Office of the Vice President and the District In-Charge of Lasam East and West Districts Ma'am Sylvia Sienes Castillejo, School Principal II . Their presence underscored the strong collaboration between national and local government units in advancing educational support for learners.

School Administrator Sonialyn Alvarez, Head Teacher III, teachers, staff, and parents expressed sincere appreciation for the initiative, noting that the assistance will greatly help learners become more prepared and motivated in their studies.

The Gabun Elementary School family wholeheartedly conveys its gratitude to the Office of the Vice President for extending this meaningful program to its learners, reaffirming the shared commitment to accessible and quality education for all.

🦷 22nd National Dental Health Month Celebration

Gabun Elementary School is truly honored and grateful to have been identified as one of the recipient schools of the Oplan Kalusugan – DepEd Dental Initiative in celebration of the 22nd National Dental Health Month with the theme "Dentista'y Kaagapay sa Ngiting Walang Humpay"

Our learners were fortunate to receive free medical and dental services, including minor tooth extractions, fluoride application, dental kits distribution, deworming, and informative lectures on dental and mental health. These essential services greatly contribute to the overall well-being of our learners and support their academic performance through better health.

The School Administration, faculty, and parents of Gabun Elementary School extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Schools Division Office of Cagayan, especially to the dedicated Medical and Dental Team, for their commitment and service.
