To ensure the conformity of campus procedures and processes with established quality management standards, Cagayan State UniversityโLasam Campus commenced its three-day International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Internal Audit today, August 12, at the Campus Library.

โIn his opening remarks, Campus Executive Officer (CEO) Professor Florante Victor M. Balatico, PhD, emphasized the importance of shared accountability among campus personnel in carrying out the internal audit and fulfilling the requirements expected from their respective offices.

โโThis is not an obligation of the few, but a collective obligation. It is an opportunity for all of us to comply and to work again closely with each other,โ he said.

โMeanwhile, Campus ISO Focal Person and Quality Assurance Coordinator Catherine C. Luga, JD., explained that the audit serves as a means of checking whether campus processes are aligned with established standards and institutional policies.

โโThis audit aims to assess the conformity and effectiveness of our processes against the requirements of ISO standards as well as our established policies and procedures,โ she said.

โShe further explained that the assessment is intended to help the campus recognize its strengths while identifying areas that can still be strengthened.

โโThis audit is not intended to find fault, but rather to identify our strengths, areas of improvement, and opportunities to continuously enhance our processes and services,โ she added.

โThe three-day audit, running from August 12 to 14, CSUโLasamโs procedures and processes with ISO 9001:2015 standards, covering tertiary education, frontline services, and other support services across the campus. #
