Ang Pambansang Aklatan ng Pilipinas ay malugod na bumabati sa bawat Pilipino ng Maligayang Araw ng mga Bayani. Ngayon ay ang araw upang parangalan ang kagitingan ng lahat ng bayaning Pilipinong nakipaglaban para sa kalayaan ng bansa. Ang tema ng pagdiriwang ngayong taon ay “Kabayanihan Tungo sa Pagkakaisa at Pag-unlad.”

Alinsunod sa Batas Republika Blg. 9492, s. 2007, ipinagdiriwang ang Araw ng mga Bayani bilang pambansang pista opisyal tuwing huling Lunes ng Agosto. Dahil dito, sarado ang Pambansang Aklatan ng Pilipinas ngayong araw, Agosto 29. Ang mga opisina at serbisyo ng NLP ay magpapatuloy bukas, Agosto 30.

Ang NLP ay mayroong onlayn na eksibit ng mga bayaning Pilipino na matatagpuan sa http://web.nlp.gov.ph/nlp/?q=node/10030. Ang mga larawan sa poster ay galing dito.
