Today, we commemorate 𝐍𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐲 𝐀𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐃𝐚𝐲, a special non-working holiday honoring the life, courage, and sacrifices of 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐨 “𝐍𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐲” 𝐀𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐉𝐫. 🇵🇭
More than a day of remembrance, this holiday invites us to reflect on the values he stood for—𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐫, 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞, 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞. As Perpetualites, may we continue to carry these values in how we live, serve, and stand for what is right.
In observance of 𝐍𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐲 𝐀𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟐𝟏, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 (𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲), 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲. We encourage everyone to use this day not only to rest, but also to remember and reflect on the significance of this national holiday.
