What is Singular and Plural?
• Singular means one.
• Plural means more than one.
🤍🤍🤍

Basic Rules:
1. Add -s to most nouns to make them plural.
• dog → dogs
• book → books
2. Add -es to nouns ending in s, x, z, ch, sh
• bus → buses
• box → boxes
• church → churches
3. Change y to i and add -es (if the noun ends in a consonant + y)
• baby → babies
• lady → ladies
➤ But if there’s a vowel before the y, just add -s:
• toy → toys
• key → keys
4. Irregular plurals (these change completely):
• man → men
• woman → women
• child → children
• foot → feet
• tooth → teeth
• mouse → mice
5. Some nouns stay the same in plural form:
• sheep → sheep
• deer → deer
• fish → fish (but fishes can be used when talking about different species)
