The 14th Annual Debate and Extemporaneous Speech Competition was held on May 2, 2026 at Room 124 of the Dr. Josefina Laperal Tamayo Building, bringing together student speakers from various colleges.
Organized by the first-year class of the College of Law, the event was attended by Dean Dr. Amado Paolo C. Dimayuga, DCL, alongside faculty members and students. Political Science students joined the extemporaneous speaking category, while law students competed in both speech and debate.
In her remarks, Atty. Rica Villadolid highlighted that the legal profession calls not only for eloquence but for authenticity, sincerity, and credibility.
The competition engaged timely national issues, with extemporaneous speeches addressing the fuel crisis and debates focusing on the impeachment proceedings involving Vice President Sara Duterte.

The College of Law held a Thanksgiving and Testimonial Dinner in honor of the 2025 Bar Passers on February 23, 2026, at the IHM Lobby, Guadalupe Moran Building, beside the University Chapel.
The program featured Welcome Remarks from Dean Amado Paolo C. Dimayuga, DCL, and inspirational messages from Dr. Marjorie S. Gutierrez-Tangog, Executive Vice President, and Dr. Arnaldo S. De Guzman, School Director. The 2025 Bar Passers also shared testimonials reflecting on their Bar journey and expressing gratitude to the College of Law community.
Also present were Dean Reynaldo Lopez, Judge Myra Quiambao, Atty. Veronica Villadolid, Atty. Juan Carlo De Guzman, Ms. Jo Pinlac, along with students and guests who celebrated the achievement of its newest lawyers and welcomed them into the legal profession. ⚖️

The College of Law proudly congratulates Mr. Rommel Enriquez for finishing as 1st Runner-Up in the ALSP Conflict of Laws Table Tennis Men’s Singles Championship. 🏓🎉
Rommel delivered an impressive performance throughout the tournament, opening with a dominant 2–0 victory over PLS in the qualifiers, advancing strongly through the elimination and semifinal rounds, and ultimately competing in a hard-fought Finals match against San Beda University, where he secured 2nd Place after a competitive 3–1 championship round.
His discipline, composure, and competitive spirit reflect the excellence we uphold both in the classroom and beyond.
