Happy Labor Day! 👷🏽‍♀️🩺👮‍♂️

Today, we celebrate the dedicated workers who make our society a better place. Seeing our children step into the roles of these inspiring community helpers reminds us of the value of every contribution—big and small.

Through play-based exploration, our students learn to look up to the heroes in our neighborhood and dream about their own future impact on the world. Cheers to all the hardworking hands and hearts! Mabuhay ang manggagawang Pilipino! 💐✨

🔬 Exploring the World of Tiny Wonders! 🦠✨

At our Center, we believe that parents are our most vital partners in the educational journey. We were so lucky to have a very special "Teacher for the Day" in the Terrific Tutubis class—Dr. Nina Natalia L. Bautista, the mom of our student, D!

Mommy Nina isn’t just a mom; she is a Board-Certified Anatomic and Clinical Pathologist with a special interest in Molecular and Diagnostic Pathology. She serves as a Medical Specialist at the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) and the Philippine Children’s Medical Center (PCMC), and is also an Assistant Professor at De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute. 🩺👩🏻‍🏫

To our students, she was a scientist who opened up a whole new world! She shared this sweet message with the class:

"Hello! My name is Dr. Nina, and I am D’s nanay. I am a doctor who helps find tiny germs and sickness so people—especially kids—can get better. I use a microscope to look at very, very small things that our eyes can’t see. I love helping children stay healthy and strong, and I’m very happy that D gets to learn and play with all of you!"

What we discovered together:

🔬 The Power of the Microscope: The children learned how this amazing tool helps us see things that are invisible to the naked eye.

🪱 A Closer Look: We even got to view real worms through the lens!

🧼 Healthy Habits: We talked about why washing our hands and keeping our bodies clean is so important in keeping those "tiny germs" away.

🎁 A Special Surprise: To top it all off, Mommy Nina gave each child their very own mini microscope to continue their investigations at home!

Thank you, Mommy Nina, for sharing your expertise and passion with us. You’ve inspired a whole new room of little scientists and "germ detectives"! 🧪🧫

✨ What a spectacular way to wrap up our ‘Animals’ learning project this October! Our recent Tides and Treats Culminating Celebration transformed our classroom into a magical underwater world, bringing all our concepts to life! ✨

In the spirit of Reggio Emilia, our teachers meticulously designed the environment as the third teacher, turning our space into a vibrant, multi-sensory Oceanarium. Against this stunning backdrop, our students—dressed in fantastic under-the-sea costumes—rotated through engaging activities that reinforced concepts about marine life, animals, and other lessons learned in our learning project.

Our fun activities:

🐠 We fished colorful fish at our light table river.
🐻 Fed our bears some one fish, two fish, even up to 10 fish!
🌊 We swam (crawled) under the sea / tunnel and tables.
🐮 Completed an animal farm puzzle.
🦁 Rescued wild animals from danger.
🐦 Became mommy or daddy birds and fed our little hatchlings.

The day was filled with joy, exploration, and delicious incentives! A huge thank you to our wonderful parents who provided candies and fun treats. The children eagerly completed each learning station and were thrilled to receive a treat as a prize for their efforts.

Our Culminating Day truly showed how creativity and a supportive community make learning an unforgettable adventure. Maraming salamat po sa ating Bright Discovery Community! 🤩😍
