In support of the Department of Education’s commitment to ensuring continuous, inclusive, and quality learning delivery during class suspensions, Doña Manuela Elementary School conducted an Online Kumustahan via Google Meet, August 19, 2026.

The activity served as an avenue for teachers and school personnel to discuss important matters on Education in Emergencies (EiE) and Online Modality, strengthen communication and collaboration, and ensure that appropriate learning support remains accessible to our learners during emergency situations.

The program featured meaningful discussions led by our school head, Dr. Noemi M. Ferrer, followed by an Open Forum where participants shared insights, concerns, and practical strategies for effective online learning delivery.

Together, we remain committed to keeping education accessible, responsive, and resilient, whatever challenges may come.

ALTERNATIVE WORK ARRANGEMENTS FOR GOVERNMENT OFFICES, ALTERNATIVE LEARNING MODES FOR SCHOOLS ON AUGUST 19

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 129, government offices are directed to implement appropriate alternative work arrangements in the National Capital Region and the following provinces on August 19, 2026:

📍 Bataan
📍 Bulacan
📍 Nueva Ecija
📍 Pampanga
📍 Tarlac
📍 Zambales

📍 Cavite
📍 Laguna
📍 Rizal
📍 Occidental Mindoro
📍 Oriental Mindoro

Unless otherwise directed by their respective Local Chief Executives, alternative learning modes for classes and learning continuity measures at all levels in public and private schools shall be implemented in the aforementioned areas.

Agencies involved in the delivery of basic and health services, disaster preparedness and response, and other vital services shall continue their operations and render the necessary services.

The suspension of work or adoption of alternative work arrangements in the private sector shall be left to the discretion of management.

SCHOOL SECURITY SURVEY

Doña Manuela Elementary School welcomed PSMS Jare Montiero and PSSg Zeus Rex Magdasoc of the Philippine National Police (PNP) for a School Security Survey aimed at strengthening school safety and security measures.

This initiative reinforces the shared commitment of DepEd and PNP to ensuring a safe, secure, and conducive learning environment for every learner and school personnel.
