Care for the poor

“The new charism filled our hearts with a very special love for the poor. They were Jesus: ‘You did it to me.’ After visiting them, we invited them to dinner. We set the table with the most beautiful tablecloth, the best dishes and cutlery, the nicest food. At the table in that first focolare, there was a focolarina next to a poor person, all together around the table.”

Live mutual love

“We can live this sentence right now and have God among us. (…) The key that allows God to dwell amongst us lies in what Jesus taught us when he said, ‘Love one another, just as I have loved you.’ Therefore, mutual love is the key to having God present.”

𝐍𝐄𝐖𝐒 | MIPSS Educators Strengthen Professional Identity at DOP-ES Teaching Philosophy Seminar

PARAÑAQUE CITY — Faculty members and the academic team of Mary Immaculate Parish Special School Inc. (MIPSS) participated in the DOP-ES (Diocese of Parañaque Educational System) Wide Seminar on Crafting Teaching Philosophy held on May 28, 2026, at St. Andrew’s School.

The seminar gathered educators from various diocesan schools across the Diocese of Parañaque to deepen their understanding of developing a meaningful and reflective teaching philosophy. The activity aimed to help teachers articulate their educational beliefs, values, and approaches that guide their classroom practices and professional growth.

Representing MIPSS, faculty teachers and members of the academic team actively engaged in discussions, workshops, and collaborative activities designed to strengthen their commitment to student-centered learning and educational excellence.

The seminar emphasized the importance of a well-crafted teaching philosophy as a foundation for effective instruction, professional identity, and lifelong learning. Participants were encouraged to reflect on their experiences as educators and align their philosophies with the mission of Catholic education.

Through opportunities such as this, MIPSS continues to invest in the professional development of its educators, ensuring that they remain equipped to provide quality, values-oriented, and transformative education to every Marian learner.

Walk together

‘Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.’ (Col 3:14)

“Paul invites us to examine to what extent our Christian life is motivated by love, and to what extent we are willing to die to ourselves in order to have an always greater love for our neighbors. (…) There will be opportunities to love others in the family, in the community, in school, at work, in society.”

Bearing witness to closeness

“Let us give witness above all with our behavior: with the honesty of our lives, our commitment to good moral values, our detachment from money, our participation in the joys and sufferings of others.”
