๐ Almanza Elementary School strengthens school-community partnership through HRPTA, SPTA, and stakeholdersโ consultation on school safety
LAS PIรAS CITY โ In line with its continuing commitment to ensuring a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment, Almanza Elementary School (AES) convened officers of the Homeroom Parents-Teachers Association (HRPTA), School Parents-Teachers Association (SPTA), parents, and community stakeholders on August 4, 2026, for a consultative meeting centered on learner safety and school security.
The consultation was spearheaded by Dr. Rizalina J. Millevo, Principal IV, who presented the salient provisions of DepEd Order No. 6, s. 2026, otherwise known as the Guidelines on Ensuring a Safe and Motivating Learning Environment (ESMLE). Anchored on the theme, โTogether, We Inspire, Support, and Empower Our Learners for a Better Tomorrow,โ the discussion emphasized the Department of Education's commitment to cultivating learning spaces that uphold the rights, welfare, and holistic development of every learner.
In her presentation, Dr. Millevo underscored the indispensable role of parents and community stakeholders in advancing school safety initiatives. She highlighted the importance of fostering a culture of shared accountability, mutual respect, and proactive collaboration in implementing policies and programs that promote learner protection, discipline, and well-being.
The school also presented its existing safety and security protocols, including preventive and protective measures designed to ensure an orderly, secure, and learner-centered school environment. These initiatives were discussed alongside the corresponding roles and responsibilities of parents and other education partners in supporting their effective implementation.
An open forum followed, providing a venue for meaningful dialogue between school officials and stakeholders. Parents were encouraged to raise concerns, seek clarifications, and offer recommendations regarding school policies and learner welfare. The exchange of ideas further reinforced the school's commitment to transparency, participatory governance, and evidence-informed decision-making.
During the consultation, parents unanimously expressed their support for the implementation of the transparent tumbler policy and affirmed their cooperation with the school's bag inspection initiative as preventive measures aligned with the provisions of DepEd Order No. 6, s. 2026. These measures were recognized as essential components of the school's efforts to maintain a safe, secure, and conducive learning environment for all learners.
The activity concluded with a renewed commitment from the school, parents, and community stakeholders to sustain a strong partnership founded on trust, shared responsibility, and open communication. Through continued collaboration, Almanza Elementary School remains steadfast in its mission of providing every learner with a safe, supportive, inclusive, and motivating educational environment where they can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
