We are excited to have Arnicarth Julio as the Acting President of the Knights of Chaucer: Literature Club of Bernardo College for the A.Y. 2024-2025. She has been chosen to lead our club with a fiery passion for writing, reading, and expressing her voice through literature. With this, she will be able to lead the Knights of Chaucer to a bright future.

During the Club Registration day on August 9, she will be the one to lead her co-Bernardians with passions alike to join our wonderful community. ✨

Ever wondered what it's like to personally experience a live talk show podcast? Well, you're in luck! ‘Cause at the Bernardo College Gymnasium, members of the Knights of Chaucer will be hosting a special talk show for you all to enjoy. Though, this booth is not only a talkshow. It's also a DJ booth, an advice podcast, a live broadcast, and many more! Additionally, special guests will also be part of our discussions. 💕

HAPPY NATIONAL LITERATURE MONTH!

On February 10, 2015, Proclamation 968 declared the month of April as the 'Buwan ng Panitikang Filipino', which can be translated to National Literature Month. ✒️

This month is celebrated to honor all of the Filipino-authored pieces of literature and dedicated writers. This month promotes the cultural legacy of Philippine literature and its historical journey. It is aimed at further enhancing the development of the rich Filipino literature culture among young Filipinos and future generations. Literature truly is a huge puzzle piece of our culture. This has allowed our fellow countrymen to use it as a weapon, a platform, and a voice. As first mentioned by Edward Bulwer-Lytton and later quoted by José Rizal, “The pen is mightier than the sword.” This was the attitude that made a large contribution to waking up Filipinos from the Spanish colonization through both his works, Noli Me Tángere and El Filibusterismo.

There are countless more Filipino-authored works that have been significant to our history and culture. Let us all celebrate this month by cherishing our country's exceptionally well-written pieces of literature and authors that have further enriched our culture! 🇵🇭
