We accept kids from 2 yrs to 5.6 yrs old. Our kids think we're cool and impressive because we teach through very interactive means (i.e. experiments, cooking, monthly field trips, in-school activities, music & movement, learning games, art and so, so, so much more!). Physically and emotionally, kids grow through expanding their own boundaries. Safetyism is the preoccupation with safety at all cost, at the expense of growth. More on this in #theanxiousgeneration and in my previous book, "The Coddling of the American Mind," which is more about the preoccupation with emotional safety and the perceived danger in opposing world views.
