THE GRADUATE PROGRAM QUALITY OBJECTIVES
1. To implement continuous quality improvement in the academic program offerings of the graduate school.
2.
To cultivate the research culture of the graduate school as showy by the research productivity of the faculty and students.
3. To inculcate a sense of responsibility and stewardship for the improvement of people’s lives and communities thus, realizing the true meaning of “Perpetualites” as “Helpers of God”.
4. To comply with the policies and standards of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) r
elevant to Graduate Education and aspire to be at the apex of academic excellence in the university. PHILOSOPHY
The UPHSD Graduate School (GS) espouses a system of higher learning that is progressive, person-driven, family-centered and Catholic in nature. Invoking the assistance of the Divine Providence according to the examples of Mary, our Mother of Perpetual Help, it promotes the education of Helpers of God by way of research-based instruction that empowers and develops the members of the community guided by the principle that Character building is Nation building. VISION
The UPHSD GS is a community of educators committed to the formation of leaders and experts in the fields of education, business, arts, innovative technology and health disciplines driven by love of God and neighbor, excellence, ecological concern, patriotism and devotion to our Mother of Perpetual Help. MISSION
To realize its vision, UPHSD GS shall:
- Educate its members to the values of love of God and neighbor, excellence, ecological concern, patriotism and devotion to our Mother of Perpetual Help;
- Offer balanced, research-based and output-based curricula, excellent instruction, community-driven extension programs, as well as, a healthy environment conducive for learning;
- Produce graduates who are agents of growth and development, innovative leaders and experts in the fields of education, business, arts, technology, and health disciplines;
- Promote the ideals of Christian stewardship that defines and shapes character building as effective and efficient basis for nation building; and
- Espouse the meaning of “Helpers of God” in the assistance and promotion of the marginalized sector of the society, especially the children.

Research Capsule for 1st Semester Term S.Y 2026-2027
This Google Form is intended for the submission of your accomplished Research Capsule. All submissions will be evaluated by the Graduate School Research Group.
Following a successful evaluation and deliberation, the Graduate School Research Group will send an official communication to your registered email address.
The email will contain your approved working title and the name of your assigned research adviser.
Please ensure that your submission is complete and accurate before sending it through the form.
For students who were unable to attend the Thesis Writing, Dissertation Writing, and Capstone Project Orientation held on August 8, 2026 (Saturday) at 8:00 AM via Zoom, please be advised that the recording of the orientation is available for your reference.
We highly encourage all concerned students to watch the recording to ensure that you are informed of the guidelines, procedures, requirements, and important reminders discussed during the orientation.
The orientation will be led by Dean Dr. Eduardo C. Zialcita and Deputy Dean Dr. Dexter A. Soguilon.
This important session will serve as your guide in navigating the final phase of your graduate school journey—from research progression and academic requirements to the successful completion of your manuscript and final presentation.
We are also pleased to formally introduce the Office of Graduate Student Success and Research Completion, the dedicated office that will support and guide students throughout their thesis, dissertation, and capstone journey.
