🎉 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐄𝐄 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐄𝐄! 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐮𝐦𝐩𝐡 𝐚𝐭 𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐖 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔!
We proudly celebrate the outstanding achievement of our Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) senior students on August 20, 2026, at the 16th Annual Research Awards (ARAW 2026), held at Bulwagang Balagtas, PUP Main Campus, Sta. Mesa.
This year's ARAW theme, “Empowering the Rising Minds to Harness Smart and Inclusive Emerging Solutions for a Climate-Resilient Society,” brought together researchers, faculty members, students, and innovators from various institutions to showcase meaningful research, exchange ideas, and advance solutions for a smarter, more inclusive, and climate-resilient future. 🌍🌱
ARAW serves as a national platform recognizing laudable research works of engineering students across the country. Our Perpetualite BSEE seniors proudly competed alongside students from De La Salle University Manila, PUP Sto. Tomas, University of Batangas, Technological Institute of the Philippines, Cagayan State University, and other institutions nationwide.
And the result? Three for three!
1. Scientific Research Category — 2nd Place 🥈

These achievements are a testament to the dedication, creativity, and perseverance of our student researchers. But beyond the awards, this experience highlights an equally important dimension of engineering: innovation must be communicated.
A great engineering idea cannot create impact if it remains confined to a laboratory, a research paper, or a classroom. Engineers must be able to explain complex ideas clearly, defend their work, engage different audiences, and communicate why their innovations matter. Public communication is therefore not separate from engineering innovation but a part of it.
Our students demonstrated not only their ability to develop solutions, but also their ability to present, communicate, and advocate for their ideas on a national stage.
These achievements also demonstrate that Perpetualites can go beyond the confines of the classroom and make their mark on the national stage.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to their research adviser, the entire Engineering faculty, and Dean Dr. Lorena Ilagan and her office for their unwavering guidance, mentorship, and support throughout the students' research journey.
At UPHSD Las Piñas, we believe that engineering education goes beyond textbooks and classrooms. We develop Perpetualite engineers who are capable of thinking critically, innovating boldly, communicating effectively, and creating solutions that address real-world challenges.
