Being aware of what is happening around us—locally, globally, and across cultures—helps us better understand the world we live in.

This week, Abegail reminds us that we don’t need to know everything, but we should stay informed, ask questions, understand different perspectives, and care about what happens beyond our own community.

As students, developing this awareness helps us become more responsible individuals and make thoughtful decisions as we grow.

Strong connections are built through trust, respect, genuine care, and meaningful communication.

This week, Angeline Honrubia, a second-year student, reminds us that being part of a community goes beyond simply being courteous. It means listening to others, helping one another, staying united through challenges, and taking responsibility for the people and environment around us.

When we support one another and remain connected to our community’s values, we create an environment where everyone can learn, grow, and succeed together.

Let’s strengthen our community—one meaningful connection, one act of support, and one conversation at a time

Be Global. Be Amazing. Be ASAT.

Balancing work in the morning and studies in the evening is not easy—but with the right people and a supportive community, the journey becomes a little lighter.

For Jesrylle, a first-year student, being part of ASAT and the scholarship program has been a journey of growth and transformation. From once being afraid of interviews and struggling with the entrance exam, she has learned to take risks, be pragmatic, and develop skills she once thought she was incapable of.

Her story is a reminder that growth often begins when we choose to step beyond what feels comfortable.

This week, Cielo, a second-year student, reminds us that positive and healthy relationships begin with simple acts of respect, listening, approachability, and thoughtfulness.

Misunderstandings may happen, but choosing to stay calm, understand another person’s perspective, and think before we speak can help strengthen our relationships with those around us.

Let us do our part in creating a community where kindness, respect, and understanding make every relationship better.

Be Global. Be Amazing. Be ASAT.

This week, Diane Angela Omus, a second-year student, reminds us that welcoming others is more than simply making them feel accepted—it is also about creating a community where everyone can learn, grow, and connect with others.

Let us remember that we all have a role to play in building a warm, inclusive, and supportive ASAT community. Sometimes, the smallest gestures can make someone feel that they truly belong.

Let’s welcome others the way we hope to be welcomed.

Be Global. Be Amazing. Be ASAT.
