ANNOUNCEMENT
Who: All Basic Cadets
What: 6th Training Day – 1st Semester
When: 0700–1200 22 August 2026 (Saturday)
Where: MS Teams (Synchronous)
Attire: Type C Uniform: (For Strict Inspection)
- AFROTC shirt (If unavailable: Plain white round-neck t-shirt (not V-neck)
- Females: White sando
- Bottoms: Maong pants
- Accessories: AFROTC garrison belt, white socks, plain white handkerchief, rubber shoes, AFROTC ball cap, blue ballpen, and blue tickler.

The 136th DMST - AFROTC will be conducting the upcoming training day via MS Teams. Please ensure you join your designated flight's MS Teams channel by 0700H sharp for attendance and inspection before proceeding to the main training virtual session.

LOOK | The 136th Department of Military Science and Tactics successfully conducted its 5th Training Day on 15 August 2026 through a virtual training session via MS Teams. Despite the continuous rainfall brought by the effects of Habagat (Southwest Monsoon), the 136th DMST remained committed to providing meaningful and continuous training to its cadets.

The session featured lectures on Protocol and Social Graces, emphasizing proper conduct, courtesy, discipline, and professionalism expected from every cadet. The cadets were also introduced to Civil-Military Operations (CMO), providing them with a better understanding of the importance of cooperation, communication, and engagement between the military and civilian communities.

The lectures were facilitated by our dedicated Military Training Instructors, with the valuable assistance of our Cadet Officers, whose efforts in organizing and facilitating the virtual session helped ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the training.

Despite the challenges brought by the weather, the 136th DMST continues to demonstrate resilience, adaptability, and commitment to learning and service.

3rd Training Day | 136th DMST – AFROTC

The 136th Department of Military Science and Tactics successfully conducted its 3rd Training Day, 01 August 2026, focusing on both intellectual and practical development of cadets.

The session began with comprehensive lectures on Rules of Engagement and International Humanitarian Law, emphasizing the importance of upholding dignity, ethics, and legal principles in the conduct of military duties. These discussions reinforced the role of every cadet as a disciplined and responsible future leader committed to protecting and serving the people.

Following the lectures, cadets proceeded to the field for a continuation of their Drills and Ceremonies training. Through hands-on application, cadets refreshed their knowledge and further enhanced their skills in precision, coordination, and discipline—guided closely by the Military Training Instructors and dedicated Cadet Officers.

The 3rd Training Day highlights the balance between knowledge and action, shaping cadets to be not only tactically competent but also morally grounded in their service.

In line with the ongoing rainy and typhoon season, the 136th Department of Military Science and Tactics – UPHSD Air Force ROTC enjoins all cadets and our fellow community to remain vigilant, prepared, and disciplined.

Stay updated on weather advisories, understand the color-coded rainfall warnings, and take necessary precautions to ensure your safety and the safety of others. Prepare your emergency kits, secure your homes, avoid flooded areas, and always keep communication lines open.

- To ensure comfort during training, especially in rainy weather, wear your ball cap. It is part of the official uniform and can be purchased at the UPHSD Bookstore along with the AFROTC belt and Shirt.
- All Basic Cadets are directed to proceed to your respective flights and assemble at Acacia Drive. Please check your MS Teams account to verify your assigned flight.

LOOK | The 136th Department of Military Science and Tactics successfully conducted its 2nd Training Day, further strengthening the foundation of discipline, knowledge, and leadership among cadets under the guidance of the Military Training Instructors and dedicated Cadet Officers.

This training day marked the beginning of the cadets’ practical training in Drills and Ceremonies, where precision, coordination, and teamwork were developed through hands-on instruction and supervision. With the combined efforts of the Military Training Instructors and Cadet Officers, cadets were properly guided in executing basic commands and movements essential to military discipline.

In addition, cadets attended lectures on the Legal Basis of ROTC and Military Organization, equipping them with a deeper understanding of the military structure, authority, and its role in nation-building.

The training also featured the orientation of aspirants for the Cadet Officer Qualifying Course (COQC), personally mentored by the Commandant, MAJ ROBERT S GACAYAN PAF, inspiring future leaders to step forward and uphold the standards of the corps.
