A new term marks another opportunity for every STECian to learn, grow, and move closer toward their goals. As we begin this next chapter of the school year, let us bring with us the knowledge, experiences, and lessons we gained from the first term and use them as a foundation for what lies ahead.

Term 2 comes with new lessons to discover, challenges to overcome, and opportunities to showcase our skills and potential. Building a Safe, Peaceful, and Resilient Learning Environment

Today, September 2, 2026, the Campus Peace and Resilience Symposium was held at the STEC Gymnasium, bringing students and members of the school community together to discuss the importance of integrating physical security and psychosocial support in creating a safe and supportive learning environment. 👥

Through meaningful discussions and shared experiences, we are reminded that campus safety goes beyond physical protection—it also means promoting well-being, resilience, compassion, and a strong sense of community. 🫂

Stay safe and Always wear your mask STECians!

SUSPENSION OF FACE-TO-FACE CLASSES

Due to the current air quality situation affecting Metro Cebu, face-to-face classes in all public and private schools in Lapu-Lapu City, at all levels, are suspended, tomorrow, September 3, 2026. The latest monitoring from DENR-EMB 7 recorded a PM2.5 AQI of 203, classified as “Acutely Unhealthy.” With air quality at this level, limiting the exposure of our children, teachers, and school personnel is a necessary precaution while we wait for conditions to improve.

I urge everyone to take this advisory seriously. Please stay indoors as much as possible, avoid unnecessary outdoor activities, and wear a well-fitted mask when going outside. Let us continue to monitor official announcements from the City Government regarding the resumption of face-to-face classes. Amping kanunay, mga Oponganon. The safety of our students and the entire school community remains our priority.
