THE SPIRIT OF DATU LAPU-LAPU LIVES ON!

Just as Datu Lapu-Lapu once stood victorious in Mactan, the pride of our city rises once again as the Division of Lapu-Lapu City emerges as the OVERALL CHAMPION in the Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC) 2026!

With courage, determination, and excellence in campus journalism, our brilliant young journalists carried the name of our hero and our city with honor. Their words became their weapons, their stories their shields, and their passion their victory.

This triumph is more than a win—it is a testament that the legacy of bravery, excellence, and pride of Lapu-Lapu City continues through the voices of our young storytellers.

Here are the victors of the RSPC 2026:

Nagpahayag din ng suporta si Gobernador Pamela Baricuatro, na hinikayat ang mga kalahok na gampanan ang kanilang papel bilang tinig ng komunidad. Higit sa paligsahan, layunin ng RSPC 2026 na palakasin ang pagkakaisa at pananagutan ng mga batang mamamahayag para sa bayan.

Momentum builds as passion meets purpose. On our second day, campus journalists step beyond the basics—refining their craft in news writing, strengthening ethical standards, mastering responsible reporting, and embracing the power of facts over noise.

Today is about clarity in voice, courage in truth, and commitment to excellence. Through collaboration, workshops, and hands-on activities, participants continue to transform ideas into impactful stories that inform, inspire, and influence communities.

Because journalism is not just about writing—it is about responsibility, integrity, and leadership.

Empowered learners. Empowered storytellers. Empowered voices. 🖊️📚

Valentine’s Day became even more unforgettable for the school paper advisers, who were showered with well-deserved recognition during the awarding ceremony of the school paper contest. What was meant to be a celebration of hearts turned into a celebration of passion, dedication, and journalistic excellence.
The ceremony was further honored by the presence of CID Chief Oliver Tuburan, whose attendance added prestige to an already meaningful occasion, making the moment even more special for everyone in attendance.
