The Falcon's Quill - GCA Publication

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 | Students and faculty of Ganaan Christian Academy participated in a fire and earthquake drill on November 18, 2025 to practice safety procedures and emergency preparedness.

This event was planned in light of specific concerns with fires occurring very close to the school's location. Miss Rowena and Miss Leditha were the flow of ceremonies, with Miss Rowena leading attendees in opening prayer, followed by leading the National Anthem for Eljean and welcome remarks from our school principal, Dr. Josephine Sidney.

The drill included two guest speakers from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) also a Chief of the Community Relations Unit–SFO2 Oiretuelle E. Baguio, and Chief of Operations of Poblacion Fire Station, and FO2 Kevin V. Casinto, former fire investigator. SFO2 Baguio stressed the importance of self-preservation first and asked those present to remember, "Save yourself before you save other people," coupled with the fact that we must maintain vigilance and prepare ourselves in the event of a fire incident and in the event of an earthquake. FO2 Casinto then presented an overview of fire, including an explanation of fire, the fire tetrahedron, air, heat, and fuel, where it is important to note that we all have a high risk of fire when we use an electrical appliances incorrectly.

Both speakers give students an overview of popular fire hazards, including open flames, butane and LPG leaks, and electrical malfunctions. They also clarified why water cannot put out kitchen and electrical fires, and they talked about the different types of fires—solid, liquid, electrical, and metal. The BFP instructed students on how to properly use a fire extinguisher through the TPASS Method (Twist, Pull, Aim, Squeeze, Sweep). The BFP's recognition of a student who had previously saved their brother from harm was one of the program's highlights. The BFP cited the child's heroism award as an illustration of awareness, prompt action, and bravery. To help prevent casualties during emergencies, speakers emphasized the significance of evacuation maps, smoke detectors, alarms, and clear exit signage.

𝐆𝐂𝐀 𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐂𝐎𝐍 | On September 10, 2025, Ganaan Christian Academy held its School Level Press Conference, where students had the chance to let their voices be heard and their talents take shape through writing, broadcasting, and photojournalism.

We proudly announced the qualifiers who will move on to the next level of the competition, representing GCA with excellence and dedication.

NISSI, Sumubsob kontra GCA

Pinaluhod ng Ganaan Christian Academy ang Nissi Academy International matapos nitong basagin ang matitibay na depensa, 2-1, sa kakatiklop na Men’s Volleyball Tune-Up Game, na ginanap sa Ganaan Christian Academy Gym, ika-24 ng setyembre 2025.

Ginulantang ng NISSI ang Falcons sa unang set ng laro gamit ang kanilang matatag na depensa upang pigilan ang atake ng top scorer ng GCA na si Melencion, sapat upang selyuhin ang unang set ng laro.

Ngunit sa ikalawang set, nagpaulan ng mala-kidlat na sunod-sunod na tira si Melencion na bumutas sa pader ng NISSI, kasabay ng mga kamangha-manghang set ni Omang, dahilan upang makuha ng Falcons ang isang dikitang panalo.

Hindi na pinakawalan ng Falcons ang ikatlong set. Tuluyan na nilang isinara ang laban at siniguro na sa kanila uuwi ang makintab na tagumpay.

GCA, Pinabagsak nang walang kahirap-hirap ang NAI

Walang awang pinatunayan ng GCA Falcons ang kanilang lakas matapos durugin ang NISSI Academy International, 66–34, sa kakatiklop na basketball tune up game na ginanap sa Ganaan Christian Academy Gym noong hapon ng Setyembre 24, 2025.

Bumida sa panalo sina Simon Ngujo at Sunday Betinol, na nagtala ng mahahalagang puntos at matibay na depensa para tuluyang ilayo ang kalamangan ng GCA. Sunod-sunod ang kanilang atake dahilan para hindi makarekober ang NISSI.

Sa panalong ito, mas lalo pang lumakas ang kumpiyansa ng Falcons at naging inspirado para ipagpatuloy ang kanilang winning momentum sa mga susunod na laro.

GCA FALCONS, Winalis ang JIST sa Volleyball Tune-Up Game!

Sa harap ng mainit na crowd sa Ganaan Christian Academy noong Setyembre 23, 2025 ng gabi, walang kahirap-hirap na pinataob ng GCA Falcons ang Jacob Institute of Science and Technology (JIST) sa pamamagitan ng isang matinding straight-set sweep, 3-0.

Pinangunahan ng kanilang Captain Ball, #08 Melencion, ang bawat rally na nagsilbing puso at lakas ng koponan. Mula sa unang serve hanggang sa huling spike, ramdam na ramdam ang bangis ng Falcons—matitinding atake, matibay na depensa, at service aces na pinapalakpakan ng lahat.

Isang gabing puno ng hiyawan at enerhiya, at isang panalo na nagpapatunay na handa na ang Falcons para sa mas malalaking laban! 🏆

🦅 Falcons, Naghari sa Tune-up Game Kontra MNHS Lions! 🦁🔥

Pinatunayan ng GCA Falcons na sila’y handa para sa mas matitinding laban matapos pabagsakin ang MNHS Lions, 89–81, sa ginanap na basketball tune-up game sa Ganaan Christian Academy Gym noong Setyembre 18, 2025. Umulan ng puntos mula sa Falcons sa bawat quarter na siyang nagselyo ng kanilang panalo. 🏀✨

Bumida sa laban ang magpinsang sina Earl Aying at Miguel Aying, na kapwa nagsalpak ng sunod-sunod na tres na nagpasiklab sa crowd at nagbigay ng malaking kalamangan para sa Falcons. 🔥💯 Ang kanilang kombinasyon ay naging susi sa momentum ng koponan hanggang sa matapos ang labanan.

Ang matinding sagupaan ay nagsilbing mahalagang paghahanda ng Falcons sa nalalapit na District Meet, kung saan muli nilang ipapakita ang kanilang galing at pusong palaban. 💪🦅

This is open to all interested Junior High School (JHS) and Senior High School (SHS) students.

•Pencil and Eraser (for Copy readers and Cartoonist)
•Art materials (for cartoonist only)
-Bondpaper is provided. One entry per category only. (bring scratch paper!)

Isang Mainit na Pagbati! Handa na ba kayo para sa Buwan ng Wika?
