Holy Infant School Montessori - Closed Group for SY 2020-21
This page is exclusively for the parents and students enrolled this School Year 2020-2021 for online classes.
Dear Parents,
School year 2020-2021 has finally come to an end. We are grateful that amidst the difficulties of opening classes during this pandemic, we managed to get through the challenges. Your support and understanding are very much appreciated.
The Report Cards for SY 2020-2021 will be released in the office starting May 3. Please call the office (272-2740) beforehand as we will limit the number of people coming to the office.
We would also take this chance to remind some of you who are yet to settle the school payables. The school also needs resources to settle its obligations for the operational cost. You may send your payment through our bank account, or visit our office. Thank you for understanding.
Good day, dear parents of the graduating students SY 2020-2021!
Over the weekend, we presented to you a poll to gather your opinion and vote as to how the 24th Commencement Exercises (Graduation 2021) will happen. The results are as follows:
-67% voted for Option A
-33% voted for Option B
Based on the following results, we will proceed with a Virtual Graduation Presentation using the photos of your children which you had sent to us.
Thank you so much for your cooperation. We hope you had a fruitful Holy Week. Have a nice day!
Good day, dear Parents!
We will be conducting a survey/poll for the families of our graduating students of SY 2020-2021. This survey will contain choices regarding how our virtual graduation will be done. The poll will be posted tomorrow until Easter Sunday (April 4, 2021).
These are the following suggestions/options:
-Option A:
*Slideshow Presentation of the graduates, using the picture of your child wearing the school uniform (the picture we asked you to send to us earlier).
-Option B:
*We will schedule an individual drive-thru graduation video taking, wherein graduating students will come to school to receive their respective diplomas and special awards. The videos will then be compiled for our virtual graduation ceremony.
Please study the 2 options carefully in preparation for the survey/poll which will be posted tomorrow.

Dear Parents,
We would like to request your dutiful cooperation in settling the school payables every end of the month. We understand that everyone is facing a difficult situation due to the rippling effects of the pandemic, however the school also relies on your prompt payment for its smooth, continuous operation and especially this coming December wherein we need to give 13th month pay to the faculty and staff.
We are gratefully looking forward to your cooperation. Thank you and GOD Bless.

Dear Parents,
We are still currently communicating and waiting for the action of PLDT with regards to our internet connection. As of today, we regret to inform that we still have no internet connection. Therefore, the teacher of your child will personally communicate with you or your child about the work for today so this day will remain academically productive.
Thank you for your usual support and understanding.

Dear Parents,
We are currently experiencing internet connection problem since last Saturday. So that students will not keep on waiting in front of the computer, their teachers are just going to send them messages regarding the tasks that they can do today. If in case you haven’t received the message yet, kindly send a messenger message to Ms. Ella or Ms. Jess.
Please be guided. Hopefully the internet connection will be back by tomorrow. Thank you for your understanding.
Dear Parents,
Filipino language has always been a challenge for our students who were raised with English or Bisaya as the first language.
In line with this, we would once again request for your help regarding the Araling Panlipunan subject. We have noticed that discussion of Lahi Book takes a while during the online class which frequently deviates our short computer time allocation. It would be of great help if you would read the lesson in advance with your child and try your best to explain, so that during the class discussion the teacher can just simplify and create the conclusion of the important information in the Aralin.
We are looking forward to your cooperation and support. Thank you in advance.
Respectfully,
Mrs. Elinor B. Okumiya
Primary Academic Coordinator
Dear Parents,
After the 1st day dry run, we discussed our observations and came up with the following which we all need to address to fine tune our set-up:
1. The child must be seated in a conducive place for studying preferably near a corner (no passer by) with plain background, away from the bed, sofa, or other distractions.
2. Headset or earphone with noise reduction function is required to avoid background noise and to help child focus better during class.
3.Adult must guide the child to mute and unmute microphone at appropriate times to avoid distraction.
4. We are regrouping the kinder 2 class to make it more manageable.
5. Casa students are required to have a whiteboard with blue & red lines similar to writing pad, and a wb marker. Please use electric tape to line the board.
6. Many parents have not viewed the virtual parents orientation, thus they encountered a lot of difficulty. We recommend viewing the whole video and revìew more than once the technical support section.
7. Parents are not allowed to use their account to join the class as this will be automatically denied. For every student, use only 1 account, 1 gadget to avoid crowding in googĺe meet.
8. Students using tablet or smart phone must download all needed google aps.
Our goals for this dry run week are for the students to get acquainted to online learning, familarize our online platform, and start navigating through the different aps - meet, classroom, etc.
During dry run, review lessons are given to allow working on the platform. Formal lessons will start next week.
May we request parents not to demand or expect too much this early as we are all trying to adjust to this new set-up. Let us support one another, don't judge or criticize easily, be kind, and spread love.
Thank you.
