B*H at SOAR '26: A Year of Impact

On April 16, 2026, at the LLCC Multi-Purpose Building, Book Club Heaven (B*H) once again stood proud among the stars at the Student Organization Awards and Recognition (SOAR) '26.

What started as a "Most Promising" vision last year has blossomed into a legacy of literary passion and service. This academic year 2025–2026, we returned to the SOAR stage not just as an organization, but as a community that has truly found its voice.

In celebration of Valentine’s Day, and in collaboration with the Supreme Student Council’s (SSC) activity 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 𝐊𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐠 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭, Book Club Haven proudly showcased 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐁𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬, a literary and artistic competition featuring diverse and creative teams from different organizations of Lapu-Lapu City College.

Held last February 13, 2026 at the Multi-Purpose Building (MPB), the event became a heartfelt space where stories and art met in honor of Hearts Day.

Today, we proudly present the official entries of all participating teams, and we once again extend our heartfelt congratulations to everyone who took part in this three-hour traditional writing and illustration challenge.

Hazing has no place in any organization, school, or community. 𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐀𝐜𝐭 𝟏𝟏𝟎𝟓𝟑, also known as the 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐢-𝐇𝐚𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐜𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝟐𝟎𝟏𝟖, all forms of hazing and violent initiation rites are strictly prohibited and punishable by law. This legislation was created to protect students and young people from physical harm, psychological trauma, and even loss of life caused by dangerous traditions disguised as “bonding” activities.

‎True leadership, brotherhood, and sisterhood are built on respect, trust, and shared values, not fear or suffering. Every student deserves to feel safe, valued, and protected in their journey toward growth and success. By understanding the law and standing firmly against hazing, we help create a campus culture where dignity comes first and no one is pressured to endure pain just to belong.
