📣 LAPU-LAPU CITY ORDINANCE 179-2009
CURFEW ORDINANCE FOR MINORS

Ang Lapu-Lapu City Police Office (LCPO) nagpahibalo sa tanang ginikanan, kabatan-onan, ug sa kinatibuk-ang katawhan mahitungod sa Lapu-Lapu City Ordinance No. 179-2009, nga nagpatuman sa Curfew sa mga Menor de Edad.

On the first offense, the parents shall immediately be notified to come for such minor and upon arrival of
the parent shall be interviewed to ascertain relevant facts and the officer on duty shall record such acts
in the blotter. The minor, in front of the parent, shall be verbally reprimanded, and such parent then be
required to execute an undertaking to the effect that said minor shall not be allowed again to go out of
h/her residence alone between (11:00) o’clock in the evening and five (5:00) o’clock the following
morning.

On the second offense, the procedure in the preceding paragraph shall be applied.
However, the parents shall be required to undergo a half-day Parenting Seminar
together with the minor concerned.

On the third offense, the procedure spelled out in the preceding paragraphs hereof shall
still be applied, however, the parents together with the violator, shall be required to render
a seven (7) day community service to be done on Saturday, Sunday or any holiday of
their choice.

On the fourth offense, a penalty be imposed to the parents or to the guardian, with a fine of Three Thousand Pesos to Five Thousand Pesos (P3,000.00 - P5,000.00) depending on the degree of the deed, and for each subsequent offense, the fine shall be increased by an additional Five Hundred Pesos (P500.00). The City Judge, upon finding a parent guilty or upon the acceptance of the plea of guilty, shall sentence the parent to pay such fines and
the costs of prosecution, and upon refusal to pay such fines and costs, the parent may be imprisoned for the period of not exceeding Ten (10) days no withstanding the filing of appropriate
charges against the parent under applicable provisions of Presidential Decree No. 603, Republic
Act 7610 and other parental laws.
