Today, August 21, we join the Philippines in observing Ninoy Aquino Day—a national holiday dedicated to remembering 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐨 "𝐍𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐲" 𝐀𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐉𝐫., whose bravery and unwavering principles left a lasting mark on the nation's fight for democracy. 🇵🇭

Returning from exile to push for political reform, opposition leader Ninoy Aquino was assassinated upon landing in Manila. That single event ignited the movement that restored democracy to the Philippines. To honor his memory, the nation’s gateway was renamed𝐍𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐲 𝐀𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐢𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 (𝐍𝐀𝐈𝐀).✈️
