PIIE Bulletin!

Greetings! From the Philippine Institute of Industrial Engineers (PIIE) - Cebu Chapter!

This coming 21 March 2015, PIIE Cebu is organizing an Industry Forum in line with its regular General Membership Meetings planned for the year. In connection, we would be honored if you would join other Industrial Engineering Professionals and students to attend this event which we see as mutually beneficial for the Academe, Industries and Professionals.
The venue shall be at the Cebu Grand Hotel - at N. Escario St., Capitol Cebu City, 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The Forum is entitled: "Building Bridges and Connections: an Industrial Engineering and Industry Forum" This shall be the "1st Contact" organized by PIIE Cebu Chapter and the 1st of three major meetings this year, and each major meeting are inter-connected and related with each other in sequence.
The objective of this Industry Forum is for PIIE Cebu Chapter to act as a helpful conduit between three components of the Industrial Engineering supply chain. And these are:
a. The INDUSTRIES that utilize Industrial Engineering Professionals in their various conduct of business, service and operations.
b. The INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING PROFESSIONALS who in turn support the very industries they work for.
c. The ACADEME AND STUDENTRY who endeavor to produce and supply Industries with ready, capable and eager graduates each year. By being there for the event, you can interact in the forum with Academe Professors, other Industry Executives, selected Studentry and Professionals who shall tackle topics on expectations, practices, requirements and needs of the three (3) components of the IE supply chain with the aim of gaining better understanding with each other. We hope to see you there. Please call in advance for reservations as posted in the posters as seats are limited.

This was IKON College's (Cebu) first year to join in the PIIE (Philippine Institute of Industrial Engineer) Sportfest and everyone had a blast during its kick off ceremony last February 21, 2015 at UC-METC.

The morning activities included elimination rounds of the sports activities. While the evening program was full of glitz and glamour for the first ever Mr. and Ms. PIIE 2015.

Handsome and gorgeous Industrial Engineers from 9 universities in Cebu battle it off for the crown. In the end, IKON College's Cherry Mae Baucan was hailed the first ever Ms. PIIE while Ralph Hugo of USJR was Mr. PIIE.

The PIIE Sportsfest will conclude on February 28.

IKON College - Cebu joins the opening ceremony of PIIE SportsFest 2015 Cebu Chapter held last February 21, 2015 at UC-METC (Mambaling Campus).

Congratulations to our students Cherry Baucan and Kerr Palparan for their achievements during the recently concluded Mr. and Ms. PIIE 2015- Cebu Chapter.
