πŸ™ Blessed First Friday of August! πŸ’œπŸ’›

Today, King Jedidiah Christian School, Inc. joyfully celebrated a successful First Friday Chapel Hour, where our learners, parents, teachers, and staff gathered to worship God, seek His wisdom, and be reminded that "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom." (Proverbs 9:10)

Following our chapel service, we held our Kapehan Bonding with parents and teachers a meaningful time of fellowship, open communication, and collaboration. Over a cup of coffee, we discussed our children's learning, growth, and development, reaffirming that education is most effective when parents and teachers work hand in hand.

As God's Word reminds us:

"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6

Together, let us continue to nurture every child's academic excellence, Christian character, and God-given potential. Thank you to all our parents and guardians for your trust, partnership, and unwavering support. We are truly grateful to journey with you in shaping the next generation for Christ.

To God be all the glory!

Nutrition Month Celebration

July 2026

Today, we joyfully celebrated Nutrition Month through our Fruit Salad Making Activity. The learners had a wonderful time mixing the fruits they were assigned to bring. It was a fun and meaningful hands-on experience that allowed them to appreciate healthy food in an enjoyable way.

Many of the children excitedly ate the fruit salad they prepared. Some learners initially chose to eat only the fruits, but as they saw their classmates happily enjoying the salad, they became curious, tasted it, and eventually enjoyed eating it as well. It was heartwarming to see them discover that healthy food can be delicious and enjoyable.

The teachers were delighted to serve additional salad to the learners, with a maximum of three servings for each child. Several learners happily shared that they were already full, while others saved the extra salad in their food keepers to enjoy later. Their smiles and excitement showed how much they enjoyed the activity.

We were also amazed by the learners’ creativity and enthusiasm in wearing their Nutrition Hats, which reminded everyone that July is Nutrition Month. The colorful hats added joy and meaning to the celebration.

Why We Celebrate Nutrition Month

Nutrition Month is celebrated every July to promote awareness of the importance of proper nutrition and healthy eating habits, especially among children. Good nutrition helps learners:

* Grow strong and healthy

* Develop a stronger immune system

* Have more energy for school activities

* Improve concentration and learning

* Build lifelong healthy eating habits

Through activities such as fruit salad making, children learn the value of eating fruits and other nutritious foods in a fun and practical way. This celebration also encourages families to support healthy food choices at home.

Message of Gratitude

To all our parents and guardians, thank you very much for your full support, cooperation, and for providing the fruits and materials needed for this activity. Your partnership helps us teach our learners the importance of healthy living and proper nutrition.

Indeed, our learners had so much fun during this Nutrition Month celebration. We thank God for a joyful, meaningful, and healthy activity that brought smiles, learning, and happy memories to our children.

Happy Nutrition Month everyone! Let us continue to choose healthy foods and develop good eating habits every day.

As we welcome the month of July, our school proudly joins the celebration of Nutrition Month 2026. This celebration reminds us that proper nutrition is one of the greatest gifts we can give our children, helping them grow healthy, active, and ready to learn every day.

We encourage all parents to make nutritious meals a daily habit for our preschoolers and grade school learners. A healthy breakfast before coming to school and a balanced lunch or snack can improve your child's concentration, energy, and overall well-being.

Please help us by:
🍎 Serving balanced meals with fruits and vegetables.
πŸ₯› Encouraging your child to drink water instead of sugary drinks.
🍚 Including healthy sources of protein, whole grains, and nutritious snacks.
🍬 Limiting junk foods, candies, and sugary treats.
πŸ’š Teaching children not to waste food and to care for our environment by reducing the use of single-use plastics and practicing proper waste disposal.

Together, let us nurture healthy minds and healthy bodies while caring for God's creation. Your support at home plays a vital role in your child's growth, learning, and success.

May this Nutrition Month inspire all of us to choose healthier lifestyles and protect our environment for the benefit of future generations.

Happy Nutrition Month 2026!

"Nutrisyon at Kalikasan, Ating Pangalagaan!"

Thank you for your continued partnership in nurturing healthy, happy, and successful learners.

2nd to 5th Supplementary Feeding Program for our young learners, along with their 6th and 7th take-home meal packs for the no-class days on Saturday and Sunday.

Our heartfelt thanks to City Social Welfare and Development Office of Lapu-Lapu City for including our learners in this feeding program. They truly enjoyed the fried chicken and pancakes.

At first, some of the children were hesitant to try the food because they were unfamiliar with the dishes that T. Ruth cook πŸ₯°. However, after we encouraged them to take a small bite, they discovered how delicious the meals were and happily finished them.

Our first Chapel Hour for School Year 2026–2027 was truly a blessed and meaningful gathering. We were delighted to see our learners, parents, and guardians enthusiastically participate in this special time of worship, fellowship, and reflection on God's Word.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Teacher Shelo for sharing the message from Deuteronomy 6:6–7
"These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road."
It reminds us that we will talk to our children God's word every second of the hour not only in church or breakfast time. But all the day of their daily lives.
