Today, Babag National High School successfully joined the National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) 2026. This activity reminded everyone of the importance of being prepared and staying safe during earthquakes and other emergencies.

Students, teachers, and emergency responders practiced the proper actions to take during an earthquake. Through this drill, everyone learned how to respond calmly, quickly, and safely when an emergency happens.

Prepared to Respond: Babag NHS takes part in NSED 2026

Preparedness took center stage today as Babag National High School joined the National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill, bringing together learners, teachers, and staff in a school-wide effort to strengthen disaster awareness and emergency response.

At the sound of the alarm, participants immediately carried out the proper earthquake safety procedures and proceeded to designated evacuation areas. The activity allowed everyone to practice coordinated actions that can help protect lives during unexpected situations.

By taking part in the NSED, Babag NHS continues to show preparedness and resilience, reminding everyone that safety begins with knowledge, practice, and cooperation.

Over the years, the city has become an important center for tourism, business, and community development, reflecting the hard work and commitment of its people. This milestone is an opportunity to appreciate the contributions of past and present generations while looking forward to new opportunities that will continue to shape a better future for all.

Sa gitna ng pagsubok na dulot ng 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗼 𝟳.𝟴 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗸𝗲, muli nating ipakita ang diwa ng bayanihan at malasakit. Ang Babag National High School Supreme Secondary Learner Government, sa pakikipagtulungan ng LEAD Philippines, Galing Kabataan PH, at SIKLAB Earth Initiative, ay nagsasagawa ng 𝗗𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲 upang makatulong sa mga pamilyang naapektuhan ng sakuna.

𝗬𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗗𝗔𝗬'𝗦 𝗛𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧 | Drug Awareness Symposium

Babag National High School successfully conducted a Drug Awareness Symposium yesterday afternoon at Bulawanon Hall in partnership with the City of Lapu-Lapu Office for Substance Abuse Prevention (CLOSAP).

The symposium aimed to raise awareness among students about the dangers of substance abuse and the importance of making informed and responsible choices.

The invited speakers, IO I Noem Rosillosa of PDEA Lapu-Lapu City and PCMS Joniemar Yurag of Station 3, Lapu-Lapu City Police, shared valuable insights on drug prevention and the harmful effects of illegal drugs on individuals and communities.

Based on survey data presented during the symposium:
📊 57.4% – Peer pressure or influence from friends
📊 23.7% – Curiosity and “just trying it once”

Student Presidents and Vice Presidents attended the symposium as representatives of the student body.

Principal IV Fernel Geraldez delivered the welcoming remarks.

Present during the activity were Barangay officials, including Committee on Education Chairperson Hon. Benvenido Omandac and Hon. Epifania Augusto.

The closing remarks were delivered by Hon. Eulogio Cesar M. Manayon, emphasizing the importance of choosing a healthy and drug-free future.

The activity emphasized the importance of making wise decisions and living a drug-free lifestyle.

Together, let us continue to say NO to drugs and YES to a brighter future.

Babag National High School (BNHS) successfully conducted the 1st Homeroom Parents-Teachers Association (HPTA) Meeting for Parents of SNED Learners for School Year 2026–2027.
The meeting served as a meaningful platform for parents, teachers, and school administrators to discuss important updates, plans, and initiatives that will support the growth and success of our learners.

Today, June 11, marks a strong and collaborative beginning to the new academic year as we hold our 1st General Parent-Teacher Assembly (PTA) and Homeroom PTA (HPTA) Meetings!We kicked off this day with our first HPTA Meeting held at the Bulawanon Hall, setting a positive and proactive tone for the months ahead.To ensure all parents and guardians are well-informed, our dedicated teachers and school administrators are leading discussions on critical updates that will shape our students' success this year.
