Eskrima De Campo JDC- IO - Cebu Chapter Eskrima De Campo JDC-IO is a lethal fighting system developed by Prof. Ireneo “Manong Eric” L. Olavides. JDC-IO is taught and promoted in a traditional way.

Olavides after he made a thorough evaluation of all the martial arts techniques he has learned through the years. JDC-IO is taught and promoted in a traditional way, as opposed to the commercial method. We are inviting interested Cebuanos to visit and train with us. This specific system of Filipino Martial Arts specializes in largo mano fighting. Our training location is at Basak, Lapu-Lapu City. If you are interested to join, please send us a message.

In Honor of a Legend: Remembering Grandmaster Jose D. Caballero.

​Today, August 7, we commemorate the birth anniversary of the founder of De Campo Uno-Dos-Tres Orihinal, Grandmaster Jose Diaz Caballero (August 7, 1907 – August 24, 1987).
​Born in Barrio Ibo, Toledo City, Cebu, GM Caballero revolutionized FMA by creating a system stripped of theatrical fluff and built purely for real-world combat. Frustrated by ceremonial exhibitions, he engineered a fast, precise long-range (Largo Mano) art centered on three critical targets—the eyes, the hands/elbows, and the knees.
​Known for his lightning-fast delivery and undisputed dominance in unarmored Juego Todo duels, GM Caballero tested his craft against the fiercest fighters of his era and remained undefeated. His reputation was so formidable that the legendary GM Filemon "Momoy" Cañete once told him: "Dili ko makig duwa ana imong eskrima Joe, pangpatay man nag sawa." ("I won't play around with your Eskrima, Joe—it's meant for killing snakes.")
