The Supreme Student Council (SSC) of LLCC successfully conducted its Leadership Training Seminar (LTS) on August 15, 2026. The event featured empowering discussions led by inspiring student leaders, starting with Khert Andrew Dungog (PTG President) on Grit in Leadership, who emphasized the importance of perseverance and knowing when to pause without losing forward momentum. Edmerose Romano (SSC Secretary) spoke on Communication and Team Dynamics, highlighting how clear dialogue builds healthy bonds and strong connections among co-officers. Finally, John Carlo Mistola (SSC President) covered Coaching, Planning, and Delegating, focusing on coaching to shape future leaders, strategic planning to achieve organizational goals smoothly, and delegating to empower team members and foster shared responsibility.

Participants immersed themselves in a series of immersive activities and a high-energy Amazing Race designed to translate these theoretical lessons into real-world action. These exercises challenged the student-leaders to demonstrate patience, perseverance, critical thinking, strategic analysis, and seamless teamwork. In light of these achievements, the Educators' Coven extends its warmest congratulations to its dedicated officers who earned top honors during the event.

Sa ating pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wika, buong-puso nating isalamin ang kahalagahan ng ating pambansang wika hindi lamang bilang daluyan ng ating kultura, kung hindi pati na rin sa pagharap sa mga hamon ng makabagong henerasyon.

Sa temang "Wikang Filipino at AI: Kasangkapan sa Pananaliksik at Tulay sa Yaman ng Impormasyon," pinatutunayan natin na ang edukasyon at teknolohiya ay sabay na sumusulong. Gamit ang Artificial Intelligence, mas pinapalawak natin ang kaalaman at pananaliksik habang pinapanatiling buhay, tapat, at nag-uugat sa ating sariling wika ang ating mga aral at pangarap bilang mga tagapagturo ng bayan.

Bilang bahagi ng ating paninindigan at pagpapahalaga sa ating Inang Wika, isaisip natin ang walang-kupas na paalala ng ating pambansang bayani:

“Ang hindi marunong magmahal sa sariling wika ay higit pa sa hayop at malansang isda.” — Dr. José Rizal

Sabay-sabay nating itaguyod ang isang makabago, makabayan, at ingklusibong edukasyon! 🪶💙

REPORT BULLYING!

Last week, adunay nahitabo nga duha ka managlahing kagubot sa mga public schools nga nag-involve og physical tali sa mga students. Usa kini ka serious concern maong kaganihang buntag, nagpatawag kita og emergency meeting kuyog ang DepEd Lapu-Lapu City, Lapu-Lapu City Police Office, ang City Social Welfare and Development ug ang atong mga barangay. Ang urgent nga action plans nga namugna kay ang pagbutang og dugang nga mga tanod ug kapulisan nga magbantay sa matag schools, ato sab gipapun-an sa matag barangay ang CCTV.

Ato sab nasuta nga ang sinugdanan sa mga kagubot kay ang bullying sulod sa school. Nagsugod sa ginagmay nga bully nga maoy hinungdan sa pagkamugna og tensyon ug nisantop sa pisikalay. Maong karon, panawagan nak sa tanang mga students nga isumbong ang mga bullying pinaagi sa tulo ka paagi:

1. Gamit ang OneLapuLapu Super App - pwede na ka makasumbong bisag registered o wala pa ka nagregister sa app.
2. Pwede sab mogamit sa atong City Official Website nga https://lapulapucitygov.ph
3. Pwede sab ka motawag sa atong 911

Mamahimo sab mo mo-report directly sa inyung mga maestra kay aron mapitol dayon sa mga teachers ang panghitabo sa dili pa kini modako. Nagpasalamat ko sa atong mga LLCPO, DepEd, sa CSWDO ug sa atong mga Kapitan nga mihatag gayud og suporta sa atong opisina in behalf of the Lapu-Lapu City Government aron gyud nga maundang ang bullying sa school ug sa samang higayon maundang na pod ang mga kagubot. We will do everything to make every school safe for every Oponganon learners!

• 𝙇𝙚𝙖𝙜𝙪𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙪𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙒𝙞𝙯𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙨 (𝙇𝘾𝙒): Showcased modern computer skills and artistic talent in a lively 𝘿𝙞𝙜𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝙋𝙤𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙈𝙖𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙨𝙩.

Participants from the different organizations showed off their skills with great pride as they represented their organization. Beyond the awards, this successful event proved that LLCCians carry the torch of success and live out the core values of Lapu-Lapu City College; Love, Leadership, Courage, and Competence. 💥🏆🩵

The College of Education of Lapu-Lapu City College proudly participated in the Hands-Only Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training held on July 15, 2026, at the Multi-Purpose Building. Student leaders, faculty members, and Education students actively joined the activity to strengthen their knowledge and practical skills in responding to emergency situations.

Organized through the initiative of College Nurse Ms. Niña Ardy L. Datoy in partnership with the Lapu-Lapu City Health Office, the training featured the S.A.G.I.P. (Hands-Only CPR) Lecture and a Mass Return Demonstration facilitated by healthcare professionals. The program provided participants with hands-on experience in performing quality chest compressions and emphasized the importance of immediate action during cardiac emergencies.

As future educators, College of Education students are called not only to inspire minds but also to safeguard lives. Through this training, participants gained valuable life-saving skills that will enable them to respond confidently and responsibly whenever emergencies arise—in the classroom, in their communities, and beyond.

The program concluded with an inspiring message from Dr. Shelbay G. Blanco, Regional DRRM-H Manager, who reminded everyone that every trained individual has the potential to become someone’s lifeline. His message encouraged participants to use their knowledge with courage, compassion, and a genuine commitment to serving others.

The College of Education remains committed to developing future educators who are academically competent, socially responsible, and always prepared to make a positive impact. Together, let us continue to uphold the spirit of service, preparedness, and compassion—because every second counts, and every life matters.
