ARAL Program Kick-off Ceremony | November 7, 2025

The ARAL Program is a nationwide initiative by the Department of Education (DepEd), created to address learning gaps among learners. It focuses on strengthening foundational skills, especially in reading, for this school year.

In line with this, the E. J. Dulay National High School personnel, BLGU, parents, and stakeholders came together in a spirit of unity and hope as we officially launched the Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning (ARAL) Program. The kick-off ceremony began with a parade, followed by a program that highlighted the presentation and implementation of the ARAL Program for the school year 2025–2026. A signing of commitment also took place, where everyone pledged to work together in support of our learners.

This kick-off ceremony reminded us that education is a shared responsibility—and when we come together, we can make a meaningful difference.

E.J. Dulay National High School Conducts Mapping for First Batch of Senior High School Enrollees

E.J. Dulay National High School recently carried out a successful community mapping initiative to identify and encourage prospective enrollees for its inaugural Senior High School (SHS) program. The activity was led by Sir Louie C. Baluyot, SHS Focal Person and Coordinator, together with Sir John Rey P. Pajantoy, Ma'am Michelle R. Poso, and Ma'am Abegail S. Capate, Administrative Officer II.

The team visited remote barangays including Nagbobtac in Palapag and P. Rebadulla in Catubig, both located in Northern Samar. Despite the challenging terrain and less-traveled roads, the team pressed forward with unwavering dedication, exemplifying perseverance in the face of adversity.

Conducting a rigorous house-to-house visitation, the teachers personally engaged with potential students and their families. They distributed enrollment forms and verified academic records, such as Junior High School diplomas, to ensure eligibility for the SHS program.

The mapping not only yielded a significant number of interested students—it also brought a heartwarming surprise. Among the enrollees was a 65-year-old senior citizen, whose commitment to education serves as a powerful reminder that learning knows no age. His story stands as a testament to the values of hope, determination, and lifelong learning.

The team returned to school around 4:00 in the afternoon, tired, soaked, and muddied from the journey. Yet, their smiles reflected fulfillment and optimism—a clear sign that their hard work will bear fruit in the lives of the students they aim to serve.

This mapping initiative marks a vital step toward inclusive education, ensuring that quality learning opportunities reach even the most remote communities.
