The orientation program will commence with 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝘆 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝟴:𝟬𝟬 𝗔𝗠, followed by the 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝘁 𝟴:𝟯𝟬 𝗔𝗠.

The orientation will cover important matters concerning the NSTP–CWTS program, including:

🔹️ Talk on Sexual Harassment and the Safe Spaces Act
🔹️ Introduction and acknowledgment of the CWTS Training Staff and Trainees

🔹️ Message of support from Dr. Luisito P. Muncada, Campus Director

The activity is intended to provide NSTP–CWTS students with essential information and guidance regarding their course requirements, training activities, admission-related matters, and responsibilities as participants in the program.

All NSTP–CWTS students are strongly encouraged to attend and actively participate in the orientation. Please be guided by the official program and coordinate with the NSTP Office and CWTS Training Staff for any concerns or clarifications.

The NSTP–CWTS program seeks to develop the ethics of service, nationalism, and altruism through proactive community involvement, while helping transform young people into responsive citizens guided by the values of maka-Diyos, maka-Bayan, maka-Tao, and maka-Kalikasan.

The University of Eastern Philippines (UEP) Laoang Campus conducted its Planning Orientation and Calendar Briefing today, August 13, 2026, led by Ms. Mabelle A. Pacsa, Head of the Program Planning Unit of UEP Laoang Campus.

The activity served as an important avenue for cascading the University of Eastern Philippines Strategic Plan for 2025–2034, providing the campus community with a clearer understanding of the University's long-term direction, priorities, and strategic objectives.

During the briefing, Ms. Pacsa highlighted the strategic goals anchored on the University's four strategic pillars, namely: Academic Affairs, Research and Extension, External Affairs, and Internal Governance, and discussed the projects and programs under these pillars.

She emphasized that the realization of these strategic goals is a shared institutional responsibility and can only be effectively achieved when the programs, projects, plans, and activities of the campus are properly aligned with the University's strategic directions and priorities.

The briefing likewise underscored the importance of purposeful planning, coordination, and synchronization of campus activities to ensure that every undertaking contributes meaningfully to the University's broader vision and strategic objectives.

Through this initiative, UEP Laoang Campus continues to strengthen its culture of strategic planning, results-oriented governance, and institutional alignment, ensuring that every program and activity is directed toward achieving the University's goals for 2025–2034.

Today, August 10, the University of Eastern Philippines (UEP) Laoang Campus joins the observance of ASEAN Month 2026 through the Simultaneous Flag Raising Ceremony, participated in by all higher education institutions in Eastern Visayas, hosted by the Eastern Samar State University (ESSU), attended by all administrative council members, campus directors, faculty members, and heads of offices and units.

The activity was conducted in support of the 59th Founding Anniversary of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and in line with the celebration of August as ASEAN Month, conducted via Zoom conference, with the theme “Setting Sail for ASEAN 2026: Navigating Our Future, Together."

The event officially commenced with the Entrance of Colors, followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem and an invocation.

In his message, CHEDRO8 Regional Director Dr. Maximo C. Aljibe, CESO III, promoted appreciation of ASEAN, highlighting the reason for this celebration as a way of acknowledging the identity of others.

"Internationalization has never been about launching who we are or who we are, but becoming confident in who we are while becoming open to who others are," Director Max emphasized.

Meanwhile, Dr. Desiderio R. Apag III, Commissioner of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and the Chairman-Designate of the Board of Regents for ESSU, in his speech, explained that ASEAN is more than just cooperation but learning to connect and be knowledgeable about others outside our country.

"It is about people learning to work with people who are different from them," Dr. Apag said.

This event helps everyone to gain awareness and allows them to appreciate our identity and diversity, and understand how cooperation among countries keeps us connected to one another by having our schools part of it.
