Jesus A. Gonzales, who is a bonafide resident of Caaoacan. The principal then was Mr. Federico Raymundo who serves until the SY 1973-1974. Perlina Miguel.
The newly established Secondary School in the Department of Education - Division of Laoag City which is formerly known as Ilocos Norte National High School - Caaoacan Annex Campus. At first, it was called Caaoacan Barangay High School which started in the SY 1971-1972 with an enrolment of 42 First Year students and one teacher in the person of Mr. Since there was no building for them yet, the enro
llees together with their teacher occupied a room at the Caaoacan Elementary School where they had classes. During his administration pathways and a multi-purpose pavement were constructed, and fishponds, an income-generating project, mere dug, which were done by the 42 first year students. In the SY 1972-1973, enrolment increased because the first year students then were promoted to second year, and a new group of thirty-eight (38) freshmen enrolled, so the school hired another teacher to accommodate the new enrollees. She was Miss Dolores Atriginio, now Mrs. Dolores Amian, a teacher of the Ilocos Norte College of Arts and Trades. The sophomores who successfully finished the curriculum had to enrolled at the Ilocos Norte National High School the next school year because it was only in the S.Y. 1974-1975 when a third year class was opened, which made the school to hire two additional teachers in the person of the late Mrs. Marietta Quetoras and Mrs. Isabel Atud, who, after transferring to Cataban Primary School was replaced by Mrs. This was during the administration of Mrs. Julia Fernandes, the head teacher. In this school year, the school had an enrolment of twenty-five (25) first year, thirty (30) second year and thirty (30) third year a total of eighty-five (85) students. This number of enrolment was more or less maintained as two others Mr. Andres Guillermo and Mrs. Bienvenida Abadilla headed the school in 1979-1981 and 1981-1985 respectively. After the term of Mrs. Bienvenida Abadilla, Mrs. Trinidad Arsenal, a Teacher III of the Caaoacan Elementary School was appointed Teacher-In-Charge until Caaoacan Barangay High School was absorbed by the Ilocos Norte National High School so its name was changed to INNHS-Caaoacan Annex. By that time, the curriculum years were already completed, meaning, there was an increase of enrollment. With the initiation of Mr. Amador Pascual, who was then the principal, a two-room building was erected at the Western part of the lot donated by Ruvuelto Family and Atud Family and this rooms were occupied by the freshies, sophies, and juniors, and a cottage made of bamboo and nipa was erected for the seniors. After a year, another room, called the PTA building was constructed at the eastern side of the school site. The school had complete rooms for each year level when a two room building was again constructed in the SY 1987-1988. The last building was constructed in 1994, during the administration of Mr. Florencio C. Jose as assistant principal. The building, which is now being used as Faculty Room and Library for both the students and the teachers, was named after its donor, Congressman Roque Ablan Jr. The administration, faculty and staff of the Ilocos Norte National High SchoolโCaaoacan Annex, serves to educate the Filipino Child. They share the Department of Educationโs (DepEd)
