The College of Teacher Education (CTE) came alive with colors, culture, and creativity as students proudly showcased the diverse traditions of Southeast Asia through their vibrant costumes in celebration of the 59th ASEAN.

With every costume came a story, a culture, and a reminder that while we may be different in many ways, we are connected by a shared journey toward a better future.

The Taldiap Society proudly joins the CTE community in celebrating ASEAN’s spirit of unity, diversity, and cooperation.

𝓐𝓻𝓮 𝔂𝓸𝓾 𝓻𝓮𝓮𝓵𝓼 𝓮𝓷𝓸𝓾𝓰𝓱 𝓽𝓸 𝓪𝓷𝓼𝔀𝓮𝓻?

Welcome to the first episode of ReelTalks with Taldiap!

At Filipino at Tagalog—pareho nga ba sila? 🤔

The nation honors Manlilikha ng Bayan Magdalena Galinato Gamayo on her 102nd Birthday.

At the extraordinary age of 102, Nana Dalen’s eyesight remains keen, enabling her to carefully organize the threads on her loom. Fellow weavers recognize this endeavor as the most challenging of all; a single error can result in a design that only reveals its imperfections when it is too late to correct. Her creations transcend the typical Inabel, featuring an outstanding thread count and complex patterns that often include up to five colors. The task of ensuring that each colored thread is evenly spaced and accurately counted is one that Magdalena has continually triumphed over.

The splendor of her work resides in the delicate complexity of the patterns, seamlessly woven into a cohesive textile. With hands aged by time, she infuses her art with vitality, and her distinctive creations serve as a testament to the invaluable nature of human artistry, far surpassing the capabilities of machines.

𝐌𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐀𝐘𝐀𝐍𝐆 𝐁𝐔𝐖𝐀𝐍 𝐍𝐆 𝐖𝐈𝐊𝐀 ! 🇵🇭
