𝐕𝐨𝐭𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐲! 𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐲!

On June 30, 2026, the Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd) department from the Data Center College of the Philippines (DCCP) attended the 2026 State of the College Address at Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU).

The DCCP delegation was led by BEEd Program Head Prof. Elmore E. Riotoc and Prof. Michael Asuncion, alongside student leaders Norman Valdez (Dynamic Future Teachers Association) and Chester Tierra (Central Board of Students Vice President). Their joint attendance highlighted the collaborative spirit between DCCP's faculty and student body.

MMSU President Mr. Virgilio Julius P. Manzano graced the event, underscoring the university administration's commitment to elevating teacher education standards. College Dean Dr. Ronald Candy S. Lasaten served as the primary resource speaker, delivering a comprehensive address that detailed the year's achievements, analyzed board exam performances, and provided a roadmap for modern curriculum development.

For the Data Center College of the Philippines (DCCP), the active involvement of its BEEd delegation in this assembly yields profound institutional benefits and strategic advantages. This high-level participation not only reinforces DCCP’s institutional standing as a collaborative champion of quality teacher education but also directly empowers its student leaders and faculty to integrate best practices back into the DCCP campus. Ultimately, translating these collaborative insights into reality ensures that DCCP continues to elevate its own academic milestones, fortifying its mission to shape highly competitive, future-ready elementary educators.

Brigada Eskuwela 2026:
Bayanihan sa Paaralan: Nagkakaisa para sa Kaayusan at Kaalaman

As part of the annual Brigada Eskuwela, the incoming 4th-year students of Data Center College of the Philippines of Laoag, Inc. had the opportunity to participate in this year's Brigada Eskuwela activities across six (6) elementary schools in the Division of Laoag City: Agripino P. Santos Elementary School, Laoag Central Elementary School, Shamrock Elementary School, Sta. Maria Elementary School, Gabaldon Elementary School, and Plaridel Elementary School, as well as at DCCP–Laoag.

The 4th-year students volunteered their time and effort to prepare classrooms and school grounds for the new academic year. Their contributions included cleaning classrooms, painting walls, organizing learning materials, and beautifying school gardens. Their collective efforts, together with those of teachers, parents, and other stakeholders, helped create a more conducive learning environment.

This experience taught them that the role of an educator begins even before the first day of classes.
