FIELD STUDY PRE-DEPLOYMENT ORIENTATION 2026
The 4th year BEEd students conducted their Field Study Deployment Orientation with their parents at the DCCP Gymnasium last July 18, 2026. The Field Study Students are grateful to the different esteemed speakers who shared their expertise and guidance to prepare the pre-service teachers for this meaningful step in their internship.
Prof. Elmore Riotoc opened the session with the rationale behind the pre-deployment orientation, setting the tone and purpose for the day. Following him, Prof. Elaine Riotoc discussed the Policies and Guidelines of Student Teacher, ensuring our future educators understand what is expected of them in the field. Afterwards, Mr. Jeffrey Bumanglag walked us through the grading system, giving clarity on how performance will be assessed throughout the semester. To close the session, Ms. Marie Escobar showcased the CBRC's united programs with DCCP-BEED, highlighting the valuable opportunities available to our students.
In continuation of this preparation, they attended the second leg of the Field Study Deployment Orientation on July 20, 2026, this time at the Conference Hall of the Schools Division Office (SDO) of Laoag City, further strengthening our commitment to fully equip the pre-service teachers for this next stage in their journey.
With Ms. Yhan Bautista, Education Program Specialist welcomed the 76 Field study students. The orientation opened with a warm welcome from Dr. Mariecon G. Ramirez, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent, setting an encouraging tone for the day. From there, Mr. George Emman Manuel, JD discussed the Child Protection Policy and other administrative concerns, equipping our student teachers with essential knowledge for a safe and responsible teaching practice. Building on this, Dr. John Paul M. Viernes, CID Chief, presented curriculum innovation together with the grading system and assessment tools, giving our pre-service teachers clarity on how learning outcomes will be measured in the field. Rounding out the session, Mr. Jasper Domingcil walked our pre-service teachers through learning resource management, highlighting its role in effective instruction.
Through both orientations, the pre-service teachers were equipped with the guidance, policies, and resources needed as they prepare to step into the field. However, we extend our heartfelt thanks to our speakers, students, and parents for their active participation and support. Ultimately, we extend our sincere gratitude to the Schools Division Office of Laoag City headed by Dr. Joann A. Corpuz for graciously hosting and supporting this worthwhile activity, and to Atty. Donato Balderas Jr. for kindly welcoming the pre-service teachers into the Schools Division Office of Ilocos Norte for their internship.
