Values Formation and Spiritual Transformation for Balacad Elementary School Pupils

This afternoon, August 4, 2026, the pupils of Balacad Elementary School participated in a meaningful values formation and spiritual transformation activity facilitated by the Values Formation and Spiritual Transformation Council Philippines International, Inc., based in Camp Crame, Quezon City.

Executive Counselors Rey Romel Torre, Amor Cerro, and Majed Balingit led the activity and shared inspiring lessons about good character, discipline, respect, faith, responsibility, and making positive choices in life.

With the mission of leading the Filipino people toward transformation, the organization encouraged our pupils to become kind, responsible, respectful, and values-driven individuals. The activity reminded them that genuine transformation begins within oneself and is reflected through good words, actions, and relationships with others.

Balacad Elementary School sincerely thanked our dedicated guests for sharing their valuable time, wisdom, and guidance with our pupils. May the lessons they imparted remain in the hearts and minds of our learners as they grow into responsible citizens and future leaders of our community.

Balacad Elementary School Joins the 2026 ASEAN Month Celebration 🌏🤝

In support of DepEd Advisory No. 130, s. 2026 and Regional Memorandum No. 948, s. 2026, Balacad Elementary School proudly joins the Schools Division of Laoag City and the entire nation in celebrating ASEAN Month throughout August 2026.

The celebration officially begins with a simultaneous Special Flag-Raising Ceremony on August 3, 2026. Throughout the month, Balacad Elementary School will help promote ASEAN awareness and solidarity through the singing of the official ASEAN Anthem, “The ASEAN Way,” and the playing of the 2026 ASEAN Official Song, “One Vision, One Ocean,” during Monday flag-raising ceremonies and other appropriate school activities.

Guided by the theme “Navigating Our Future, Together,” this celebration reminds the school community that cooperation, mutual respect, and solidarity are essential in building a peaceful, inclusive, resilient, and progressive Southeast Asian community.

Why is ASEAN important?

ASEAN strengthens relationships among Southeast Asian nations by promoting:

✅ Peace and regional stability through cooperation and dialogue;
✅ Economic growth and opportunities through trade and regional partnerships;
✅ Quality education and cultural understanding through the exchange of knowledge, traditions, and experiences;

Bilang pakikiisa sa Provincewide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill ng Lalawigan ng Ilocos Norte, matagumpay na isinagawa ng Balacad Elementary School ang earthquake drill kasama ang mga mag-aaral, g**o, at brgy officials.

Sa pamamagitan ng pagsunod sa tamang pamamaraan tulad ng "Duck, Cover, and Hold," patuloy nating pinagtitibay ang kahandaan, disiplina, at kamalayan ng bawat isa sa panahon ng lindol at iba pang kalamidad.

Ang kaligtasan ay nagsisimula sa kahandaan. Sama-sama nating isabuhay ang pagiging alerto at handa sa anumang sakuna.
