After 63 long years, Mr. Pat D. Ancheta, fondly known as Sir Pat, returned to Balacad Elementary School, his beloved alma mater. Having traveled all the way from the United States, one of the most meaningful parts of his itinerary was visiting the school that helped shape the early years of his life.

His homecoming was filled with joy, gratitude, and cherished memories as he once again walked through the grounds of his former school. Although many things have changed through the years, his love and appreciation for Balacad Elementary School have remained strong.

Sir Pat is the former president of the San Francisco Host Lions Club, an organization committed to humanitarian service and community development. Through his leadership and the generosity of the club, they have become valued stakeholders and partners of Balacad Elementary School. Their support for the school’s programs and projects reflects their genuine concern for the safety, welfare, and development of the learners.

His visit was not only a return to a familiar place but also a beautiful reminder that one’s connection to an alma mater can remain strong despite the passing of time and distance. Sir Pat’s journey serves as an inspiration to the learners, showing them the importance of remembering their roots and giving back to the community that helped nurture their dreams.

Today’s Monday Convocation became more meaningful as Mr. Joseph C. Salvador, the new school head of Balacad Elementary School, shared a reassuring message with the pupils.

Sir Joseph reminded the learners that the School Head’s Office is open to all. He encouraged them not to be afraid to seek help whenever they experience problems or difficulties. His message emphasized that the school is a safe place where every pupil can be heard, guided, and cared for.

He also thanked the parents who came early and took part in their morning routine of cleaning the school surroundings. Their valuable support and cooperation contribute greatly to keeping the school clean, safe, and conducive to learning.

With the support of the teachers, parents, and pupils, Balacad Elementary School looks forward to a productive week filled with unity, compassion, and cooperation.
