The solemn ceremony, officiated by His Excellency , Most Reverend Bishop Renato Mayugba together with Fr. Vic Harvey Naval and Fr. Recz Clifford Cid, was made even more profound by the presence of the Pilgrim Relic of Saint Carlo Acutis. This marks the first time the relic has visited our campus! A truly blessed occasion as our young communicants took this sacred step.

Patrick Jgeofranz Joaquin Pascual, a journalist from The Foresight publication, emerged victorious at the Division Schools Press Conference held on November 20-22, earning 2nd place in Sci-Tech writing. Representing NWU High School and coached by Anna Santos and Micah Andres, Pascual is now set to compete at the regional level.

𝗟𝗔𝗢𝗔𝗚 𝗖𝗜𝗧𝗬 - Sa loob ng tatlong araw na sagupaan ng talas ng isipan ng mga kalahok mula sa iba’t ibang paaralan sa sangay ng Laoag, Nobyembre 20 hanggang 22, 2025, muling pinatunayan ng mga kalahok mula sa Northwestern University ang kanilang husay sa 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 (𝐃𝐒𝐏𝐂) na ginanap sa Divine Word College of Laoag, Lungsod ng Laoag.

Mula sa masusing pagbuo ng balita hanggang sa malikhaing pagsulat ng lathalain, bawat kalahok ay naghatid ng kakaibang tinig na sumasalamin sa realidad ng kanilang mga komunidad.

"Kahit na medyo kulang ang oras para sa pag-eensayo ng mga mamamahayag, hindi ito naging balakid sa kanila lalo na't karamihan sa kanila ay 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦𝘳 lamang. Ngunit hindi nawala ang suporta ng mga namumuno sa NWU upang ibigay ang kanilang kakayahan at suporta para matulongan at maihanda ang mga bata. Nakakaproud dahil kahit pa maraming problema ang aming naranasan ay isa itong pundasyon upang pagsumikapan pa namin na sanayin at ihanda ang mga ito. Syempre sobrang nakakagalak sa aming mga young journalists dahil lahat sila ay sumubok at ibinuhos nila ang kanilang kakayahan para magbigay boses sa mga isyung kinasasangkutan ng ating bansa sa kasalukuyan." saad ni 𝐉𝐀𝐒𝐏𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐀. Today, our Junior High School students attended the National Science and Technology Week forum at the Laoag City Auditorium.

The highlight was the crucial session, "MAGHANDA for Kids," which provided vital knowledge and strategies for readiness and resilience.

Hats off to Ferdinand Leo (Grade 6) and Calix R. Gaurino (Grade 6) for their impressive performance in the Provincial Elimination Round of the Sci-Math Battle: The Pisay Pinnasiriban Edition held on October 18,2025 , at Robinsons Mall Ilocos.

Today, September 5, 2025, the Basic Education Department Junior High School conducted its Annual ESC Orientation Program for Grade 7 Parents at the Old Media Center.

The program aims to orient the parents about the policies and guidelines for the Government Assistance to Students and Teachers in Private Education (GASTPE), specifically the ESC Program.

The program was attended by the School Selection Committees, which include the Principal, Associate Principal, PTA Representative, and Faculty Representative.
