The 𝗨𝗡 𝗦𝗗𝗚 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗪𝗲𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 continues on August 23, 2026, at 1:00 PM PHT with a special episode, in partnership with the 𝗨𝗡𝗘𝗦𝗖𝗢 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀.

This session will introduce young people to the power of Futures Literacy. The ability to explore multiple possible futures, challenge assumptions, and use the future as a tool for making better choices today. It emphasizes that the future is not fixed, but shaped by the decisions, aspirations, and actions of people now.

Participants will discover how Futures Thinking can help them navigate uncertainty, imagine preferred futures, and move from anticipating change to actively shaping it.

The discussion will connect Futures Literacy with youth participation, sustainable development, and the creation of inclusive, regenerative futures.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | Where Youth Leadership Meets Service 🌱

Last August 15, 2026, the Northwestern University Supreme Student Council took youth leadership beyond the campus as it joined the Linggo ng Kabataan 2026 Outreach Program in Caaoacan, Laoag City.

In every helping hand and every moment shared, the spirit of the youth finds its purpose—not only in leading, but in serving, connecting, and making a meaningful difference in the community.

Kabataan para sa kapwa. Kabataan para sa komunidad. 💙

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐁𝐋𝐔𝐄𝐏𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐓 𝐎𝐅 𝐒𝐄𝐑𝐕𝐈𝐂𝐄

Leadership is built in the choices we make, the resources we steward, and the plans we put into action.

Through the Leadership Training, our student leaders sharpened their skills in financial management, disaster preparedness, student discipline, and annual development planning.

The Oath begins the service. We become the light.

Despite the expected power outage and the sudden changes it brought, we continued. We adapted, managed our resources, and found a way forward, just as true Northwesternians do.

Because leadership is not defined by perfect circumstances, but by the courage to create light when things do not go as planned.

Beyond the Oath, we are the Fiat Lux of Northwestern University.

Let there be light. Let leadership begin.

On August 14, 2026, a new chapter of student leadership takes its place.
With Mr. Patrick John T. Ratuita, MAPA, Municipal Budget Officer of Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte, joining us as our guest speaker, we gather under the theme:

“Beyond the Oath: Igniting a New Era of Courageous, Ethical, and Transformative Leadership.”

An oath will be spoken. A responsibility will be accepted. And the work begins.

Due to heavy rainfall from the Southwest Monsoon and following the directive of the Provincial Government of Ilocos Norte. Northwestern University will shift to asynchronous classes tomorrow, August 10, 2026.

In line with this, the Northwestern University Supreme Student Council urges all students to prioritize safety and stay alert by following official advisories.
